Since there a bit of talk about the new FF coming out or came out (depeneding on where you live) I thought it would be it neat to ask what your favorite FF game was. Mine is FF IX. I love the charaters, the story line, the battle system and so on. Next would be FFX. Awesome game. Oh and FF 2 was pretty sweet!

10 for me. 9 being the worst imo. I could't relate to any of the characters, and Vivi was a total ripoff of Orko from He-Man!
Not to mention Ark being the worst ultimate summon ever, damage-wise. I remember working for so long to get it, and being so disappointed when i saw it!
I spent SO much time on 10! Getting all the ultimate weapons, levelling up in the monster arena...etc...0 -
9! Love it, what an amazing music score aswell. It all went a bit rubbish as soon as voice acting came in at 10, I just liked doing it all in my head. To be honest, it's hard to pick anything before 10 that comes on top, but 9 just sorta takes it.

Now this is a topic i can get behind
heres my list best to worst (havent played 11, only played a little of 12 and didnt touch 13, FF2jap or FF3jap so they wont be on the list)
The top 3 are all interchange able for me i really cant pick between the 3
1. FF2US I put it on top because it was the first RPG i ever played and sucked me into the genra
2. FF8 I really liked that Squall wasnt your typical hero at first and the story, while a little wierd at times, was one of my favorites
3. FF7 Cloud had a big *kitten* sword and you had MR T
4. FF 10 Tidus was great, the story was amazing and even though some peole didnt like the voice acting i actually kinda enjoyed it oh yeah and blitz ball
5. FF 6 Lots of characters, great story and an amazing villian
6. FF 9 good story, really nice character, horrible villian
7. The orginal FF I never beat it but it seemed to have a good story from what i could get out of it, it was also really hard if i remeber right
8. FF 5 does anyone really like that one?
oh and X - 2 doesnt count in my eyes0 -
The minigame in 8 was the best ever imo. 9 completely ruined the card game...0

I know I was the minorty with 9. For me 8 was the worst, I didnt care for the story and i didnt care for the card (didnt like it in 9 either) but i did have blast with the blitz ball or what ever it was called in 100

I loved 9, personally. However, I can't say I have a favorite, they all have their merits and their downfalls.
But 7 was my first.0 -
I freaking loved X-2, ngl. But I heard the english voice acting was really atrocious (I played it in Japanese). IT was just so silly and fun and I loved the combat system.
Also possibly influenced by the fact that I was in japan and depressed though.
I dunno I pretty much liked them all - except as I got older I lost the mental fortitude/patience or something. I tried to play FFXII and I just couldn't care enough to grind out the levels and things (or maybe everyone else hated that one too?) I've been debating picking up 13 but how bad will it be?0 -
6, 7 , 8 all exquisite in my book
6 - massive amount of characters (which you could level and KEEP them all! unlike the magic twins of 4 or aeris of 7 dying off on you ;_; ) PLUS kefka. kefka is so fab
7 - I had to play through this many times to understand the story. there were so many twists and turns I got confused and intrigued all at the same time.
8 - we called this 'awesome graphics WHOA!!!' .. I loved the draw system, had 99 of every spell. gunblade = sweet0 -
lol i remeber seeing 8 and going WHOA they look so real and life like0

what was the first FF that you were intruduced to. mine was 2us and thats why it holds such a special place in my heart

I think it was 7. I remember getting really upset when 8 came out because the characters were different... then I loved it and felt the same all over again for 9. Then worked backwards to 6 etc.0
