Well, today was my "official weigh day" and I was down 1.4 pounds. So in 20 days I have lost 12 pounds! Woohoo!! It is very exciting plus I am already seeing my body make some transformation like my waist line is showing, and some other ugly fat is beginning to shrink (blech!!)

I have made some good changes this week. For example, I added that sodium bar to my planning and have actually taken things out of my daily menu ( i plan the day before) because I didn't want the sodium and water retention. Did you know a sub club from Subway has over 1200 mg and recommended for me is 2500!! I was shocked! Also, I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred 3 times this week, did Wii dance once and walked the other times. I am thankful to God for the ability to still be able to do these things at my current weight.

I have also made very nutritious food choices this week and only splurged once on a piece of ice cream cake for my son's birthday, but made sure I counted the calories and still stayed under my daily goal. I have eaten lots of lean protein, more colorful plates and lots of berries. I was also able to get down 6 cups of water yesterday which is up from 4.

I know this journey will be hard and I know there will be days I will want to throw in the towel and give up, but I have got to keep looking ahead and keep my eye on the prize. I am thankful for everyones support through this battle!

It sounds like you are doing great!! I have had a good week too I finally got past a 2 month stall, its been very frustrating, but the scale is going down again. I am leaving today for a trip to Disney in Florida. I am very excited but nervous about what I am going to eat, I don't want to go way off plan, but I am sure all the walking will counteract the calories. I am looking forward to not using a seatbelt extender for the first time on the plane, last time we went I had to have a scooter to get around, I couldn't walk and use the fat seats on the rides. I can't wait to go as a normal person and not have to worry if the seats will be big enough for me. I am so excited to really enjoy this time with the kids. I will let you all know how it goes.
  • Congrats on the weight loss! My way in day is tomorrow and I am scared to death again... according to my scale at home I havent lost anything... been stuck in this plateau for way too long (4 weeks). I am on a team for the biggest loser challenge at our local gym.. The first weigh in I was the only one on the team to lose less than a pound. (.6), then last week only lost 1.8... I am at the gym every chance I get when Im not babysitting my grandson... I go to boot camp classes at least 3 times a week, try for 4 and I also weight train with a trainer 2 times a week and I also go on my own... I am at the gym at least 6 times a week... I am at a loss here. I am ready to throw in the towel. I have worked so hard since October (lost 28 pounds) but now nothing!!! I am managing on staying within my 1200 calories (+- 100)...

I am just so frustrated. I am afraid if I dont see positive results tomorrow it might break me.. I need to do this.. it is my last hope!

Sorry to rant on your positive thread... just needed to let it out... Have a great day! :grumble:

Paysmimi, a plateau is incredible frustrating! I just got over my own 2 month long one. You have done so well so far, 28lbs is great! Don't throw that away. Think of a plateau as your bodies way of catching up to the scale. Your body is going through a major change, it needs to rethink itself and catch up. Now is the time to take your measurements because I bet you will notice a huge difference there. If you haven't taken your measurements yet, do it now. The fact that you are thinking of giving up hurts my heart as I know you are doing awesome and can get there. You sound so dedicated. Please tomorrow is a new day, wake up, do it all again, you are doing ti all right, it will come in time. It didn't take a day to put it on, its going to take more then a day to take it off.
  • Thank you for the words of encouragement... I just get in a funk sometimes! I just needed a kick in the butt lol Nice to meet you and I am glad we can do this together!

We can do this! I am having a hard time getting alone time to exercise but I am feeling more motivated. I have noticed that the more water I drink, the better I feel all day long. Keep it up ladies! I get to weigh tomorrow and feel unsure about that.
