wine binges

I eat very healthy and exercrse most every day. I have a problem that rears its ugly head about every 5 days... I love wine! It relaxes me and gives me permission to indulge in whatever goodies I have at hand. Any ideas on how to stop these high calorie unhealthy binges? I want to be strong enough to say no most of the time

    Great post!!! I have the exact same problem. Especially on the weekends I binge drink wine and it is driving me crazy! I am trying to go for at least 4 weeks but I keep saying that and as soon as Friday rolls around BAM!! It's over!! I eat healthy and i exercise every day but I cant seem to get the wine under control!

    Interested in hearing other opinions!
  • Last August I started to work out with a trainer.... I was worn out trying to go through workouts.... the weight was not coming off ... I stopped drinking wine everyday (awful huh) and the weight has started to come off! Way too much wine for me...not healthy... and I KNOW better. If it's not in the house, I do ok.... Afterall, I don't need to create another problem to deal with! A very helpful thing for me is to journal what I eat. It makes me very aware of how much wine I drink. Like you, I go about a week.... then I cave and buy a bottle... I do not buy boxes anymore! It is nice to know other people are working to control the same problem. I love the darn stuff...but I don't need it.

    Back in 2010 i started training for the half marathon and i stopped drinking and the weight started coming off. I lost 36 lbs. Then last Summer hubby and I went on vacation and over last summer i put back 15lbs. I've been trying to get that 15lbs off ever since. I am working on it trying to get back the mindset i had back in 2010! I am not giving up though!
