Usually pre race or pre long run I eat a slice of toast or half english muffin with peanut butter.

Thank you! Looking forward to adding the miles going further into marathon training.

    I love this thread....
I think I already gave you my miles...10.5. Maybe I did or didnt
But add another 2.5 onto that because I am forgetful.

I always eat an English muffin with some almond butter before a race.
Or something equally as calming on the belly.

    In Feb I still have a 25K, 5K
In March I have a 7k, half marathon and a 19 mile trail run
In april I have my marathon on the 22nd!!

Maria and I will be running the Gettysburg marathon in April. We might also run a half marathon in Chambersburg, PA next month.

I start fueling up a while before a race or long run. I'll have a bagel with some jelly or cream cheese a few hours before, and then maybe a large bowl of cereal at least 30 minutes before. I'll also have a couple cups of coffee to get things "moving."

I don't like to eat a lot before a run so I normally stick to 2 servings of cereal (preferably a sugary kind!). I used to always have an english muffin with dark chocolate pb and fluff afterwards but since I'm running longer and getting back right near lunchtime, I've been eating that beforehand too. Also, we have pancakes or waffles after we run and top them with yogurt and granola. It's delicious!! :D

Like my beloved husband said, we'll be running the Gettysburg marathon in April and we may possibly run the Chambersburg half in March, depending on my work schedule. Training is going rather well, if you ignore the disastrous run I had on Sunday. I'm running 20 miles this Sunday, so we'll see how it goes!

Bah I'm falling behind. My surgery was supposed to be this Thursday - but I'm on Week #2 of a cold - which is why I haven't been running and the surgery has been postponed to a date TBD :( No worries, though. It's not giving me any pain whatsoever, so I'm seriously considering not having it anyways.

    2/14 = 4.75mi

Not a racer, just a runner. All the craziness of crowds and parking and buses and whatnot takes the fun out of it for me. Love hearing your stories, though, everyone!
