Apply mascara to your lower lashes first. It will prevent transfer to your lids from your wet top lashes.

Hold a hand mirror near your chin and look down in to it when applying mascara to your top lashes. This will prevent accidental eyelid-touching with the wand.

I use lip liner and fill in my entire lips. It makes the lip color last a bit longer and look richer.

I also spray perfume in my hair instead of on my skin. It lasts longer.

Well this is fun....I don't know that I really have any tips to share, but I'm interested to see what other people have to say. :-)

Keep tweezers within reach wherever you brush your teeth in the morning. As you're brushing, look for stray hairs and then you can tweeze them. One or two hairs every day will keep you from giving yourself blotchy swollen brows every week or two.

Any tips for clumpy mascara brushes? I just bought a Loreal mascara and it always comes out clumpy on the brush. :grumble:

Is it brand new? Sometimes after a week or two the product will dry just slightly and fix it... or if it's older than a couple months, it might be toooo old, and you just gotta replace it.

I buy a lot of spendy products, but mascara isn't one.. just because I like to get a new tube every two months.

I have oily skin, including oily eyelids. When I use eyeliner, it would smear onto my eyelid. I found adding some pale eyeshadow over the liner keeps it from smearing anywhere it shouldn't.

Q - do you use an eyeshadow primer? I have to use a primer and put shadow on top of the liner.

That's another good tip - invest in good primers. They make world of difference in how long powder products stay on.

I do...and it works great for shadow creasing. But not the liner. Go figure. But the shadow over the eyeliner works great for me.

YES! You must have eyeshadow primer! Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance... ELF (at Target) makes a reasonable one as well (for super cheap). Usually silicone-based, they help your eyeshadow stick to your lids and prevent creasing. I never, ever, ever put any eye makeup on without a primer first.

i use dark shadow instead of liner, i can get way more effects and it's not as visible a line.
