The world is for shorties

So, I was at the gym trying to use the dryers on the wall to dry my hair after my swim last night and I had to squat down. The wall dryer is at a level that can be used by people who are at most 5'6". I'm 5'10" so it was fun to have to squat down after working my *kitten* off in the pool. Oh well....just another example of the world not accomodating tall women.

Ha this is going to be a fun one. I wish toilet seats were taller. I understand that short people wouldn't be able to get up ON them if they were made for us, but STILL... sometimes I literally feel like I am about to sit on the floor when I use the bathroom, especially public bathrooms.

LULZ Yes! I just had this experience the other day... I was literally resting my chest on my knees whilst going pee... I was like "I feel like I'm using a toddler's potty. They should make taller toilets, they are so much nicer!!!

Sometimes I use the handicap stall in the bathroom because the toilet seat is so tall!!! As long as no one else is in there... I would feel terrible if someone who NEEDED to use that stall came in and I was frivalously using it for my own vanity reasons!

Try working in a kitchen!! I've been cooking in restaurants for the past 12 years and EVERY SINGLE KITCHEN is made for short people...I constantly hit my head on pots, pans, utensils, anything hanging from the ceiling at a super low level so the shorties can reach them!! OWWWW

I'm sure the counters in the restaurants are low as well which means leaning over all day. Very hard on the back!

I work in a hospital and trying to find gloves that fit is horrible! I feel like they're all made for people with baby hands.

Speaking of public toilet stalls.....Have you ever noticed where the coat hook is at. Right at eye level. I'm always amazed when I don't put my eye out opening the door or worse having someone push it open on me. As far as using the HC stall, I don't think that being able to stand up after I'm done is frivilous at all!

I've noticed that the mirrors in the toilets in bars / restaurants etc are often mounted on the wall to suit shorties.

FFS, I just want to see if I've got spinach between my teeth, I shouldn't have to do squats or lunges to get low enough to use the damn mirror!

I did the same in my kitchen. They put the units up as high as the legs would go and I said "higher". After much discussion they did what I asked. The wall units had to go higher as well. Shorties who come to my house are never going to reach the cereal!

Lalalalaaahh! Shorties in my kitchen can't reach the microwave. They can't warm up the lukewarm coffee I serve. And I don't care!

And how many times have I had to place my knees around my ears just to sit down --- in a toilet stall because the door is too close -- or in an airline seat because the pitch is too skimpy?

    Or pay extra for clothes?

Or put the mattress on the floor in a hotel because the bed was too short and it had a footboard?

I have to dodge low hanging lights...I find this happens to be especially at restaurants where the light over the table is low (at least for me!).
