Do you set your own cal limit or do you go by MFP?

I was just wondering as depending on where you look I have found my recommended calorie intake varies.

So do you go with MFP calorie target or do you set your own? Thanks x

    Hiya!

As I am not losing weight currently I am sticking with MFP targets of 1lb a week to lose to start with.
Once I start losing some (God be willing)weight I'll probably alter slightly.

i stuck to MFPs numbers and lost weight consistantly. Now i am at maintenance i have set my own limit, as MFP is about 200 cals too low.

calculate your BMR and multiply it by your activity level. Monitor it for a month and see which way weightloss is going. Also, remember your maintenence, and cals required will change as your body adapts to your fitness regime

theres loads of calculators out there:
