    Just a QQ: what is a "spike Day"?

    It's a day where you have a LOT of calories, usually about double your BMR. Theory is that it boosts your metabolism and prevents plateaus. I'm not sure of the science behind it but it seems to work, plus it's great to have one day a week where I can eat pretty much whatever I want :smile:

    Hi, I just joined this group. I lost 3.6 pounds this week after a 2 week plateau. I still have 22 pounds to go, and habitually weigh in on Mondays.

    Well after a wee gain last week I decided to re-introduce a spike day. I've also been zig-zagging my calories each day which seems to have worked.

    4lbs down today from last week, current weight = 9st 12lbs (138lbs). I'm over the moon :bigsmile:
    This is also the first time I've been below 10st since I was in school, about 25 years ago :laugh:

    My weight this week is 136pounds (9stones 10), i have only lost a pound this week but considering i've done no exercise at all am pleased!

    I lost 1.2 pounds since last Monday, thought the number woul have been higher but I am still happy, as long as I didn't gained or or stayed the same.
    I now weigh 224.8 lbs
    goal is 140lbs :)

    At the moment my goal is 9 1/2 st (133lbs) but I'll see when I get there. I still have a bit of back and a lot of belly fat going on :/

    Hello Everyone:

    I would like to join this group. This my 2nd week weigh in. I lost 3.8 pounds. My total for two weeks is 10.8 pounds (even though mfp shows it as 11). I guess its close enough.

    I am loving this site. I get excited about logging my food and exercise.

    I weigh myself 2 or 3 times a week just to keep an eye on how things are going, but my "Official" weigh in is Monday.

    I look forward to getting to know everyone.

    I just joined this group and I have a 0 weight loss. :( I just started working out last Thursday daily at least 40 mins a day.

    Hi, everyone!

    I lost 4.5 pounds since last Monday...I was 182 pds and weighed in at 177.5 this morning!
    I started MFP in January, and then I slacked off...my starting weight was 182,
    I lost 2 pds and gained it back with I stopped keeping track.

    I'm hoping to get a strong support system with joining this group...since I have commitment issues with exercising and eating "sensible."

    Today I weighed 138. I've lost 2lbs from my starting weight! :happy:

    Hi! I forgot to log my weight on this group, told my friends but forgot here!
    On March 5, 2012, I lost 5 lbs. It was my first week. I really watched my calories and did not think I could do 1200-1500 calories, but it is working!
    My goal is to exercise everyday! Hope we all reach our goals!
