and......................................Feeling very hungry!!!!!!!

Just snacked on a raw carrot. So now I am worried. Vitamin A is now - 311 in red writing

Sugar is - 26 in red lettering

Fiber is - 6 in red lettering

Polyunsaturated -2 in red lettering

monounsaturated- 5- in red lettering.

Should I be concerned????>

I am most likely eating too much fruit, and I love bananas, but I would rather snack on fruit than a bar of chocolate, and surely we are allowed to have 5 portions of fruit and veg a day?? Can I please have your thoughts on this.

Ps I am not diabetic, but I have highish cholesterol that I am trying to control with healthy eating. My good cholesterol is very good, in fact excellent but my bad cholesterol is quite high, which is confusing my gp at the moment. I was told that as the good cholesterol outshone the bad, I didn't need to take statins.. Thanks for your help

I just got over my high cholesterol. I had a reading of 7.7 I'm now down to 2.2 add me if you like.

Can I ask why you had the honey? that would of put your sugars up? I wouldn't worry so much about the natural sugars of fruit.
The bacon would put your others up.

Red meats are bad if you have high cholesterol.

Did the doc not tell you to avoid these?

I dont usually eat a lot of red meat. Well done how did you manage to bring your cholesterol down so much. Was it this diet that brought it down. Thanks for your help.

Okay try to cut it out unless it's really lean chick. I used this site, Benecol buttery, Benecol Yoghurts and the strawberry once a day drink! and I got them down within 3 months :)

Good luck to you. It's just a case of cutting your bad fats out. and you'll be good to go :)

If you look on my food diary you will see it under carbs.
On my phone app it comes under nutrient summary

    Seen it.

To be honest, I wouldn't get strung out over carb intake. As long as the fat is in check, you are in the right direction. Thats my view!
