In response to the "dating aspect" of MFP.. a thread per major city may make more sense if anyone is interested in meeting peeps.. Since I live in Dallas I'll start w/ it.

    Dallas area here! I'm just north of Dallas, very close to DFW. Single and not loving it!

    At the risk of making this post sound like my match.com profile, I'll throw some stuff out there:

    I'm 39, I have no kids and I've never been married. I'm a happy and positive girl who loves working out, going to the movies, finding hole in the wall bars and restaurants, and being outside and active.

    I'm not looking for someone I have to "fix" or who focuses on the negative things in life. Life's too short to be miserable!

    So if anyone of you Dallas area boys might be interested, send me a PM! :drinker:

    We started off at Steel (a sushi place I liked and really wanted to try again) but it was totally dead. We ran into an old friend there who recommended a place called Sambuca (REALLY nice). After Sambuca closed down, the owner of some sports bar (I forget what it was called) invited us over and gave us free drinks.

    Dallas is different- for one, no one gave me a hard time about not drinking alcohol (here in Shreveport the wait staff is often rude to me about it), and also: we were in jeans and dressy shirts but everyone around us was dressed in sequins/sparkles and party shoes.
