Underactive Thyroid

Hi just wondering if anyone in this group has any tips for me. I started gaining weight about 10 years ago due to an under active thyroid, never had a weight problem before so I didn't really know what to do when the usual diets did not seem to work. With the help of mygitnesspal and working on the idea that I need to keep my metabolism up by dividing my calories into three meals and two snacks I can see difference already. Can anyone add anything to help an Irish newbie?

there just does not seem to be very much support in Ireland and my experience with Dr's & Endo's has been so unsuccessful that i now self treat.

Hi Samhradh
Thanks for the links I will try them. I have read some articles about a study done using Tonalin CLA to help people who are finding it difficult to loose weight due to underactive thyroid and it suggests 3,400mg a day proved to be beneficial Have started taking it so here's hoping.0
