Pain around the site of the band

Anyone experienced this? It started on Saturday, felt like a twingy/pinching pain. It seems to be a bit worse today.


I've been banded for 5 years and other than a little bit of reflux I haven't had complications.

    i had REALLY bad pain where my band was a few weeks ago and turned out that i had pancreatitis and gall stones and kidney stones and they have to remove my gallbladder. If it keeps up i would get it checked out. One thing i have learned with the band is to listin to your body.

    Thank you, it seems localised to where the port is so I am thinking it might be a port site infection. I was reading about these online. The pain started a few days ago but is getting worse. Going to see the band GP on Friday morning, hopefully it's nothing serious.
