Hi, I'm Natalie. I'm 22, just graduated with an Art Education degree. I started out just playing around with different media and eventually decided that it's what I want to spend my life doing. I draw, paint, take photos, sculpt.
I am really happy to see an artist group on here. I recently joined and want to try to be more a part of the community. I don't know if anyone else is like me, but I'm usually the one who never really posts and just kinda stays at the edges of the community. But, this whole website is for change, so here's to it!
    Nice to meet you all.

Hi, I'm Laurie. I'm attending art college to get a degree in Illustration. I do all kinds of stuff, but enjoy working digitally the most. I paint (oil, watercolor, acrylic), draw, knit, sew, spin fiber into yarn, and generally make stuff from other stuff.

I have an art blog at LaurieKerrDesign.wordpress.com

    Nice seeing everyone here!

I actually finished with a degree in Commerce but my passion is in the Arts so I took a vocational course in Animation & Graphic Design last 2006. I also draw & do mock paintings but mainly as a hobby.

I'm happy to meet others who share the same passion.

    Hi I'm Chelsea.
    *hiii Chelsea*

I do a collaboration of things. I like crocheting, drawing, and photography, culinary (it's a form right? lol) and herelately really been getting into painting. I'm not really advanced in art itself but I'm open minded and always willing to learn and draw from new ideas. I want to get better at my drawing though. I've been drawing since I can remember, but I think it's about time i start bumping it to the next level.

    Hello, everyone! *waves*

My name's Susan, I'm 22, in Columbus, OH. I work full time, in school part time to be a web designer.

I've always loved drawing and anything to do with art my entire life, and took several art classes in high school, but then suddenly stopped doing everything artsy upon graduating and starting into the working-world.(Stoopid "life", where ya have to get a "job" and have "money" to do anything. /end sarcasm)

But the "art bug" has been eating at me recently, wanting to dabble again into drawing and painting, and maybe being in a group with similar goals/ interests and seeing other people's awesome work will be that final motivation to pick up the brush and get started!

    Nice to meet everyone!

    But I've already met you!

Anywho. I'm Sonya, 28, lives in Columbus, OH and works with crazy pants Susan above.

I went to OSU for art (stupid mistake) and am not doing much with it. I love drawing and animation. I've wanted to be an animator since I was 6.

I've started getting back into drawing again, hopefully something good will come of it.

DA is probably not the best place to host my work, but here it is. http://nahimana83.deviantart.com/

Hi, I'm Gina and I live in Tampa, FL USA. I have done (or dabbled in) just about every kind of art.. fiber art, like spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, bobbin lace, tatted lace, needle lace... I love lace :) and drawing/sketching, painting, calligraphy and lettering, my newest obsession is mixed media and art journals. I have also done lampworking and fused glass pieces, along with stained glass. I love all kinds of art :) I hope to start an art journal about my weight loss.

Today is my first day eating healthier... have to work on the exercise part little by little. I'm glad to have found this group!

    Hello.

    Me: Artist, Musician, Writer.
Just joined MyFitnessPal. 'Love the iphone/ipad app so far and the tools available on the web site.
I'm hoping this will help me avoid the road to diabetes and reduce the weight I gained so easily as I'm getting older.
The extra weight and pre-diabetes has been impacting my creative output. I'm tired more than I should be and not as focused.
Good News: In just a few days I'm feeling a lot better and can already feel the spike in my energy level.
'Hoping to find ideas for healthy foods that I can easily prepare . I'm always on the run so I tend to grab food instead of taking the time to pay attention to what's cooking. I'm sure "Easy and quick" is not the right way to approach this.

Hi everyone! I'm Tiffani and I'm 39 and a Colorado native and recently I've owned being an artist. I've painted and drawn all my life and though I've never sold my work before many of my realatives and friends love my artwork and I enjoy creating them. My next big piece I'm working on is a round canvas with a koi fish pond. Koi fish are one of my favorite fish/animals. I think they are wondrous and beautiful. Let me know if you want to be friends and please send a message with your request to let me know what you're goals are or what kind of emotional support you may need.

    Thanks

Hi, I'm new to the site/group. I just found out about it. Recently moved from Kansas after getting my BFA in Drawing and BS in Art Education and am getting ready to start my MFA in Illinois this fall.

I love art of all types. I'm trying to self teach myself a bit of fiber art (since it wasn't offered where I went to school). A lot of my drawings and paintings try to incorporate fiber in some way.

I like to make cute stuff, like sock monkeys and crochet food.

It's great to meet you all. :)

    Hi!

I am brand new to this site and I'm loving it and finding an art board is FANTASTIC! I love seeing other artists' works. I am Mary and I'm 46 and live in Columbia, MD. I love to draw. I do some portrait work and doodling. Zentangle is so much fun! I dabble in photography and I make jewelry as well. Ever since I could thread a beading needle (age 5), I have been making jewelry. I am a confessed beadaholic.

I look forward to meeting you all and I too am so glad I found you!:flowerforyou:

    Hi I'm Slovakhorse

I'm in my early 40's and am Scottish (like a couple of others here)

1.I work in a high street shop part-time.
2.study web design (have a CIW webmaster designer certificate)
3.Fine Art grad who exhibits in a private gallery

I could be thought of as a 'serious' artist but not a serious person socially.
5 years ago I knocked the booze on the head and slowly put on over 2 stone so I have just joined MFP to try to sort it out.

    good to meet fellow artists!

Hello everyone my name is Jackie, 34, Mexican-Filipina and I juggle two careers between my very recently start-up advertising business (I'm a Creative Director) and my job as a Marketing Officer/In-house Graphic Designer in an Italian restaurant. Though good thing is I love my jobs since I do the same thing but of course if they will make me choose between the two, I have to prioritize my "baby".

Currently I'm working on mastering my multimedia skills as well as reviewing everything I learned about business management way back in college.

Hi everyone, my name is Vicki. I don't have any formal art education beyond a junior high school art class (which I am coming to understand as I learn more that I was very fortunate to have an extremely good and thorough teacher in that class).

All my life I've enjoyed drawing, colored pencils, markers, etc. Last year I took up painting for the first time and love it.

    I'm also an amature photographer.

I paint a lot now days, and sell my paintings on occasion. I also do commissioned work, mostly pet portraits so far.

In addition, I enjoy crafts. I crochet, make jewelry, decoupage, make christmas ornaments, wreaths, nativity scenes... In the past I've done a little sculpting with clay and paper mache. I also do fashion sewing....

In addition to that I'm a small engine mechanic and a homeschool mom... so I stay pretty busy!
