Coloring Change

I've been eating vegan for three months now, and LOVE it! Did anyone else experience changes in their complexion and coloring? It seems like my lips are quite pink, my skin tone is better and I haven't had any pimples (this was a problem for me) in about 3 months!

Love the changes and was curious about others' experiences.

    Hi

    Awesome to hear this!

I've unfortunately had pimples since I've turned vegan... although this has been only a few weeks so I'm hoping it's just my body totally detoxing. I used to be omni before, so I guess it'll take a while for my system to properly clean out and also get used to having so much fresh produce in my system on a daily basis.

I love eating vegan too! Meal times are genuinely exciting and I dunno, but I've found that I actually really 'taste' all of the ingredients in my food.

    H :)

I still think I look old and wrinkly (I'm 43) but my adult daughters say I look so much younger and vibrant! I've never had pimples, so I didn't experience that. However, I'm thinner and can run faster, and my hair is better, I think. and my FINGERNAILS!! they are growing like crazy!

Yes, my skin does seem to have improved coloring and I've had a friend comment on it. My face often feels hot (more than normal) especially with exertion. It's like being a kid and being flushed with good health. The hottness I feel could be because of my age though, premenopausal at age 46 . . .

My fingernails are growing as well! They've always been thin and brittle, but not now. My complexion is changing too, but it has only been three weeks so who knows where it will end up. I'm not tired all the time now and my joints have quit hurting. I figure it can only get better from here.
  • Wow, looks like everyone has had some positive results! Justplainolea...my joints don't hurt and I don't have fatigue anymore, either! I didn't even mention that! Interesting how not eating animal products and moving to whole foods can make you feel like a new person!

I started my vegan plan right after the holidays, and the results are amazing. My nails are also stronger now, and for the first time in my adult life, i had no reaction to the spring pollen. Usually I am downing the Benadryl to deal with the oak and pine. Nothing this year for pollen reaction! And best of all, the weight is coming off nicely!
