Wednesday i will be 6 weeks postpartum which means i can start to workout again. I am breastfeeding so i know that it burns an extra 500 cal a day. Breastfeeding and walking around with a 10lb baby all day is the only working out that i have done so far. I would like to know when did you guys start to workout after having your baby and what did you do?

I was very naughty and started weights work about 4 weeks PP... gotta be careful with the abs so that the separation of the middle muscles (forgot the name) don't get worse.
I then started running/walking at 8 weeks, the running at 10 weeks, very short distances though to start wtih. I also bub in a stroller and went for two hour walks because I knew she would sleep in those two hours.
Best of luck with your weight loss journey!0 -
I started walking 2.5-3 miles every day-every other day at about 3 weeks postpartum and hopped on the elliptical at 5 weeks. I had a pretty easy delivery and recovery. I could only do 5-10 mins back then. Now, I walk and do an hour on the elliptical. To be honest, I expected to notice that I was burning calories from nursing, but I can't. The weight isn't "melting off" for me like so many people told me it would and I have friends who experienced this but I am not so lucky. It could have something to do with the fact that I gained 80 freakin' pounds haha. But really, be prepared for some serious cravings and hunger surges from breastfeeding as your little one grows. Congrats on becoming a new Mom!0

Im going to start walking with the little ones now since it feels good outside. The weather over here has been crazy...one day its in the lower 50's and windy and the next day its in the 80's. Thanks for the info0
