While I am an equal opportunity Star Lover, I actually met Q and Spock. However, my radio DJ name was Princess Layla and I even rocked the hairdo, and also own a slave outfit, and am currently playing SWTOR. See, sooo difficult....

This was me three years ago. I have lost weight and grown my hair since, lol. The guy with me who isn't Spock is my friend Doug, who's also lost weight in those years :)

I didn't watch Star Wars until just before they were re-released in theatres in the 90s, I was instantly hooked and had tons of the expanded universe books. My wife is a total Trekkie and even has a tattoo of a Borg cube battling the Enterprise. Will post if anyone's interested.

OF COURSE I want to see it! Make it so! Engage! Pics or it didn't happen!

Nice to see so many trek fans! Now I hear about Han Solo a lot but he doesn't hold a candle to the man himself, I'll let the following picture speak for itself ;)

It took me a long time to start watching Star Trek. I thought it was "too sci fi" for me. I'm usually into fantasy settings, more. After watching them, however, I'm hooked! I also love Sulu.

The Sulu character has evolved so much over the years, Star Trek 6 was his best acting by far.

The OP pic is hilarious, but I have to say, Star Wars capital ships did have deflector shields.

We are a house divided over here. Hubby, the 11yo, and I are all Trekkies.
The 18yo, 8yo, and 5yo are all about Star Wars.
There will never be peace in our house.

The baby shares a birthday with Leonard Nimoy, so I say that makes her a Trekkie by default and tips the scale in our favor.

I enjoy them both. I need to watch more Star Trek though to even the odds a bit. I believe potentially I am more of a Trekkie than a Star Wars fan.

The reason behind this logic: I love the band Warp 11 (local to me, but check them out on their official site warp11.com).

I'm a fan of both Star Wars and Star Trek and will watch both every time i get a chance. New or old. But if i have to pick which one i like better i will have to say Star Wars just because i love everything about it! And i got to meet Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and he was the most amazing person!
