Shoe choice for 50/50 asphalt & dirt?

Just curious what others would choose for a shoe on a Half Marathon (or longer) course that was 50% asphalt, and then switch to groomed forest roads (dirt) for the other 50%. Would you stick with your street shoes or look into a lightweight trail shoe?

I have an idea which shoe I may go with, but wanted to get other opinions. Thanks

Loving my new NB Minimus Trails, & I run on about a 50/50 mix. You'd need to be used to low heel drop though.

I'd use my Saloman Speedcross, my only concern would be excess wear on the tread as its a bit on the soft side. If the trails weren't too severe I'd also consider using road shoes which are reasonably light.

You're a fan of Inov8, maybe a pair of Roclites?
