Now that I have your attention....Jo and I were discussing how or if to count sex as exercise for the day. I mean, you can count cleaning your toilet or doing dishes, but there are no options for hanky panky under exercise!
That being said, how the heck would one figure out such things? Hmmmnnnn....
Please discuss!

hehehe, There was a similar post to this on one of the other forums. The general consensus seemed to be either wear a Heart Rate Monitor/BodyBugg/KiFit or not bother. ;o)0

A while ago a Swedish TV-show about sex did a test to see how many calories one burn while having sex. The setup was (of course) heteronormative and the two participants (yes, they were only 2, so this isn't scientific at all) had vaginal, penetrative sex (with the exception of one position) in four positions: girl on top, the missionary, the 69 and doggystyle. They were at it for four minutes in each position and the test measured their heart rate and movements via a motion detector on a belt around their hips. In the end the guy ended up burning 51 cals and the girl 86. What seemed to make the difference was the orgasms, the girl had 13 and the guy had one.
In my opinion, the show portrayed rather boring sex and I'm not surprised to see that they burned so little. If they would have been at it for an hour the girl would have spent around 320 (which is around the same as an hour of dancing for me) and the guy around 190. It was nice though to see that orgasms make such a difference, I guess that's another thing about them that makes 'em even betterAlso, it's a nice incentive to spice things up and have more athletic sex, combined with lots of orgasms

I only track what I do specifically for exercise/calorie burn.
Things like doing the dishes, cleaning house, mowing the lawn, etc.... that's "every day" activity-type stuff, to me. Sure, it burns calorires, but it also has to be done in the course of normal life. Going for a job, lifting weights, etc... that's above and beyond the "daily routine".
That being said, a lot of people use online estimates or (yes) wear a heart rate monitor once to get an average - then create some kind of workout because racy words always get deleted from the database. So, call it Cake Decorating or whatever else you want, if you feel you must include it.0 -
General aerobics ;-p0

I agree with the others, a heart rate monitor should do just fine!
I used my Cardio Trainer app once on my Android. I strapped it to my arm and went to town. If I'm not mistaken I burned about 150 calories in 30 minutes.0
