I did it a few days ago and it's definitely tough...no rest breaks and mostly 1:00 intervals, but it's a GREAT workout! I must have pressed pause 800 times haha...0

well i loved the cardio recovery day yesterday just hoping this will be a good one too... then friday is the plyo circuit again and then a rest on saturday for me0
-
Yeah it's tough but it's a good work out! You HAVE to take breaks when you need it to get a sip of water let your HR come down a couple beats. Even the guys in the video are taking breaks nothing wrong with that. You don't really need to pause it when yhou do jsut get back into as soon as you can.
It's one of my favorites actually!
I was proud I did 10 suicide jumps! I did 12 in my fit test but this is 10 while already being winded. They were always a struggle for me before but now I feel like I can do them! yay!
Hope everyone else had a good workout today!0 -
I have this tomorrow, had recovery today. I was worried about doing Pure Cardio at the start but I'm totally ready for it now after a good stretch day.0

This is one tough puppy! Lots of sweat and had to take lots of breaks but it felt great when I was done.0
-
Can't wait - tomorrow I do this and I've done it before but totally forgot what it's like!0

wow just did that one and it was awesome! sweated a lot but loved it. it is seriously non stop. i have to believe i burned more than 300 calories but i have no idea... i am using calisthenics vigorous as my logging here on MFP. i don't have a HRM but i think i'd estimate at least 400 calories on that one!0
-
Definitely invest in a HRM - you probably hit more like 700-900. I was in the same boat using estimates - much more rewarding with a HRM...0
-
Got it done late. Almost didn't do it, that would have been bad!!
I would recomend a good HRM. It is more rewarding. I burned 724 calories tonight, makes me feel good
Glad to see everyone pushing it!!! Way to go!!!0 -
what hrm do you all use? i do want to get one but dont' want to spend alot0

I use a Polar FT4, I'm not sure about everyone else but it does what I need. Counts calories burned and alerts you when you're above your chosen heart rate.
It's about $65 or £50ish.0 -
Pure cardio after a 12 hour shift on my feet...not very pretty...but I got it done. Have a good night!!0
-
I get this and Cardio Abs tomorrow. Maybe I shouldn't have gone swimming tonight.0

I'm on week 1 and I did this for the first time today. I was disappointed that I only burned 350 calories. I use a Polar FT7 and I'm only averaging between 350-400 per workout, except for Cardio Recovery...where I only burned 140. I don't understand why my calorie burn is so low compared to others. I'm going balls to the wall and hitting at least 85% of my max heart rate. I'm 5'3" and 168 lbs, so I feel like I should be burning more....anyone else calorie burn this low with my stats?0
-
Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs are done. It was nice doing Cardio Abs Again, I have skipped this one for a while lately.0
-
Does anyone else say that pure cardio is their favorite? For some reason, it's easier to get through without breaks. I do slow down sometimes though.0
-
It is my favorite, I love doing it. I think it's because we are not doing 3 sets of everything, after 1 minute your done with that exercise. I also think it is the hardest because I really push myself to take as few breaks as possible. After doing Pure Cardio I'm always happy!!!0

I'm burning anywhere from 250-450...I feel like I should be burning more too but maybe I'm not pushing myself hard enough! Next week0 -
Pure cardio is the hardest. It has to do there is no break.0

I only burn between 300-400 on all of month 1 and it goes down after the first week. When I did the second month, I only burned about 400-550. It was frustrating but I fell in love and now am on my 2nd round.0 -
I did plyo cardio circuit today burned 408 cals. When i did my first round and was heavier and not as conditioned i burned over 600 calories during month 1 workouts but you have to remember the stronger your heart gets the harder it is to burn that's why you have to take things to the next level!
I have to say I sweat so much I feel like i should be burning more. One thing I do wonder is what we are getting in "after burn" that is something Chalene always talks about during hiit workouts in turbofire and insanity is a lot more intense than HIIT workouts...0 -
I feel a little better know some of you are burning around the same calories. Although, since this is just my first week...I should have pulled a higher calorie burn. But today starts a new week, and I will definitely be pushing myself to go past 85% of my max heart rate...or at least take less breaks. I'm so glad I started Insanity...I'm really liking it a lot! I hope all of you get the results you're looking for too!!0
