Day One Level One

I did this work out one time probably 4 or 5 years ago with one of my yo-yo diet friends (we would habitually jump on a band wagon, last for a week, and jump off again) and was sore for 4 days afterward without ever doing it again.
I just did day one again! I am pretty proud, and walking up the stairs from my basement was a task and a half!!

I did the same thing about a week ago and I hurt for 3 days. My poor legs! I am giving it a 2nd try again0

Same thing happened to me. But guys I found a cure or semi cure. I keep telling everyone, stretch before and after or just after. My thighs hurt so much i couldn't even do silly dances... But I stretched and it helped greatly. So if you're going to commit to this learn to stretch and love it! And I will be seeing you ladies tomorrow. i hope to hear how everyone did! I will be giving it my all!0

Are we talking about 30 day shred? I've just completed Day 1, Level 10

Well done for taking that first step (or jumping jack as the case might be  ).
I am on Day 2 of Level 2 and I promise it does get easier. When I first started Level 1 I couldn't even lif my latte cup to drink from it for 2 days :noway: but I stuck at it and it does get better, honestly!
I agree with llielikeapoli that the secret is extra stretching. I do yoga every evening anyway both for relaxation and to keep me supple after a spinal injury caused by an accident many moons ago, so I just do it after my 30DS now and it works a treat.
I shifted up to Level 2 last night and was surprised that I could do as much as I could, and even more surprised that I woke up this morning and most of me moved without acheys too  Something must be improving ay?
Keep on it ladies - if I can do this fat, unfit and over 50, we all can :happy:0 -

Try punching her through the screen when you are going your squat punches - I find that helps :laugh:0 -

Oh that is a good idea!0 -
Work through the soreness, so long as you aren't injured. You'll feel better in no time. I find that stopping to rest for a few days after that inital soreness makes the soreness come back for a longer period of time.
Stretch really well afterwards. I like to do a 10-15 minute stretching routing that I grabbed from onDemand fitness tv. Also, warm up while Jillian is blabbing about the program. Run in place, do dynamic stretches, get those muscles warmed up and heart rate going. That really really helped me.0 -
Day one down yay me0

First time doing any of the Jillian Michaels DVD's. I tried the 30 day shred and I think I'm entering a serious love-hate relationship with Jillian. I'm not a fan of most videos, but this has a good balance. She isn't sickening sweet and perky (and skinny) but she isn't a bruiser drill sergeant either. She's found a nice balance and I love her body. She's fit, not skinny or bulky!0
