I love a variety of music but I get into kicks for certain types. People probably look at my ipod and think I'm crazy because the styles are just all over the place. Of course I like to listen to music that is going to get me pumped when I am doing a workout!! I know some of these are old but they're my favorites and on my "most played" list...

House music is the BEST for me. I end up running so much faster to keep up with the beat, and my punches (when I'm holding weights in my hands) feel so much stronger and more powerful (as if i am creating the bass myself!)

May sound off the wall but for running outside or on a treadmill I find Tai Chi and/or relaxation music really good
For the gym though I find:
Hawkwind
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
anything with a strong bass beat works for me ( probably because I play bass lol )0 -
The Black Keys always seems to work for me while at the gym, when trail running though I prefer something more mellow like Iron and Wine0
