Success stories?

Does anyone that has been following this have any stories to share? I'm seriously lacking motivation lately. I started this program, but am not noticing many body changes. Also, my run time is worse. I'm still eating at a deficit for now, but very little. I'm set to 0.5/lb a week. I am 5'1 and started at 162. I am now down to 135 and am pretty happy with that. BUT my body fat is still rather high and my body does not look the way that I want.. Does anyone have anything they could share? I'm hoping that this program coupled with a small deficit and some cardio will keep improving my goals.

    Hi!

    I've got a few questions...

    1) When did you start the program? How often have you been lifting (1x, 2x, 3x a week?).
    2) When you say your run time is worse, what do you mean? You've had a bad run, or your time has been getting consistently worse? Are you running as frequently as you were before you started SL?
    3) How many calories does the 0.5 lb/week deficit give you? And do you eat back your exercise cals?

As for me, I've only been doing this about... six? seven? weeks, so I wouldn't call myself a success story yet. Actually, I share a common theme with lots of ladies in this group in that the scale losses have slowed/halted since starting the program. I'm okay with that for now, as long as I keep gaining strength (and I think I have been). I haven't seen much change in measurements, either, but I am seeing things like much better definition in my arms and legs. For now I am keeping the faith that with time will come progress - that shaping a body is a bit of a long process that requires patience! :)

I'm also a runner, and I have noticed something interesting. I don't run as often now as I did last summer (about once per week now), and I can keep my 5k time pretty consistent without much cardio training. I was thinking that might be because my legs are getting stronger, and stronger legs = faster running? As far as I know, strength training is pretty much always beneficial to running... but you've gotta keep running to see the benefits, I suppose.

Anyways... I really do think that with a small deficit, sticking with the program, and continuing on with some cardio, you'll see the changes you want -- but that it will probably be a longer process than what any of us would like! We're here for ya in the meantime! :drinker:

@ 5'1" 135lbs you don't have very far to go and probably shouldn't be eating at a deficent all the time but start bulk, cut cycles. Hopefully someone who has done this successfully will chime in.
