I am actually STILL SORE from this yesterday...

"Power Pyramid Upper Body Workout

You are on your back the entire time.

Lay on the floor like you are making "Snow Angels"

Now get up and place a dumbell where both of your outstretched arms will be at your sides, and a heavier dumbell at the top, where your hands will be over your head

When you look down you will see a "Pyramid".

Pick "Overhead triceps extentions" as a custom workout. like 6 times.

You can either pick up the side weights, or the one over you head, while laying on your back

It will register fine..

I pair them in twos, breaking up with "hip bridges" and "leg raises" to give my arms a break.

Good Workout with NO LEGS!

  • After my Cardio Kickstart yesterday, I just didnt feel like I was ready to quit, so I made up a custom run.
I have done this before and liked it.

I like to mix them up:
This one was tough for me due to the fast kickups, my machine doesnt register them so much and I end up doing a ton of fast kickups.
I chose a short run, then a medium, then a short, then a long, then a short, then long, then two shorts to end.

So Yesterday, I chose something a little easier:

Short run, medium, short, Long, short, medium, short, short.
Or something like that anyway... I only threw in one long run because I hate the fast kickups.

Im looking toward the weather getting nicer here so I can take off for a REAL run outside and enjoy the countryside and fresh air! We have some great places to run when the weather is nice!

    Here's a question about the EASA2...

When I was taking a look at all the stats I have.... like how many baskets I made.. or how far I have ran on the trail.. I noticed that one of my stats still says zero. That event is 'fitness trail skipped' I think that is the name of it. What is that one, and how do you perform that event?

On the Wii version I click on 'Journal' then 'Fitness Stats' then 'Stats' then 'Exercise Stats' and when I scroll down the Event 'Fitness Trail Skipped is listed with a zero by it.?

I have the same problem with this part of the long run. The screen doesn't pick up my kickups...my avatar appears to be taking a leisurely stroll :noway:
Has anybody problem solved this discrepancy? Everything else seems to be on track.
    thanks,

I've had the same thing happen. Some days they register fine, other days they take forever to finish!

Mine is 0 too. Thats a weird stat! I think it's how many times, during workouts that you went to the menu, and skipped that excercise, but I'm not sure.

Okay now I will get back on topic... Custom EASA2 Workouts

I have been working with the Step Aerobics and boxing, so I put this together.

    4 warm ups
Skipping (to get the heart rate going)
10 min. Step Aerobics A (with 2 lb AW and 2 lb WW)
    2 Boxing
    4 Cool downs
The whole thing lasts about 20 min.

A think I added a another skipping in between the step and boxing.
Not a lot of impact which is kinda nice sometimes.

Funny.... this looks like a recipe.

Step/boxing is my favorite custom routine.

All done with Wii Fit board
    1 boxing
    2 step aerobics
    1 boxing
    2 step aerobics

It's about 45 minutes and burns about 414 calories. I love it!

Hi, I have a question for the EA boxing enthusiasts,

Currently I only have one numchuck (the wii hand-held thingy), so when EA tells me to punch left, I move it to my right hand and punch the air aiming left (feels weird).
For the right punch, I move it to my left hand and punch the air again swinging right...:indifferent:

I must be doing something wrong because I don't see or feel the benefit (i.e. caloric burn) of this activity.
What am I donig wrong? Should I buy another numchuck?

I do something very similar, but I do it after my 30 day shred so I don't need to warm up/get my heart rate up...

    I do this:

    30 day shred
    Boxing
    Aerobics
    Boxing aerobics
Skateboarding (I have a love hate relationship with these!)
    Side planks
    Leg raises
    2-3 cool downs

This keeps my heart going, works a little core and gives me a few more calories for the day!

If you are refering to the EASA2 boxing, I just hold the Wiimote in my right hand and wear wrist weights or weighted gloves for a little resistance and it works great.
