American version or UK version
Which do you prefer?

UK version for me

  • I've only seen the UK version and I didn't like it. The premise was really good but it didn't have enough drama in it. I really should get the US version, so I can really compare. The ghost from UK version, she is so pretty!! And the vamp? Yes please haha

As far as I'm concerned, there is no other version.

I was disappoint when the US version came out.
  • I started watching this show with the US version. Haven't seen the UK version so I can't compare, but definitely love the US version of the show. It's actually one of my fav shows that I watch aside from True Blood and Dexter.

LOVED the UK version, until the end of season 3. Actors leaving = death knell. Much like my other fave UK show, Misfits.

I was pissed there was a US remake, since so many remakes have been crap, but I watched it out of morbid curiosity and I must say I was very impressed with the direction they took. For once, a US remake did a good job.

Seems like theBBC versions are always better:
    Being Human
    Skins...MTV version was stupid
    The office...Hate the US version
Hustle...Leverage ripped it off, but still a good show
Life on Mars....****ing awesome!!!! John Sim is great
    Coupling...US version lasted 4 episodes
Cracker....How could you even make it without Robbie Coltrane?
Queer as folk...both versions are pretty good
Man about the house...Three's company was good for a while
    Top gear...love both versions!
All the sitcom pilots that failed...Ab fab, Spaced, Red Dwarf, etc.

Don't forgot all the reality crap that started in the UK either, and the Gordon Ramsey crap shows.

I didn't realise their was an American version! I haven't even watched the UK one yet and I'm in the UK.

I watched the UK version first and then watched a few episodes of the US one. I prefer the UK one. :) Maybe it's just because I love listening to their accents!

Having watched neither before this thread, I decided to give them both a try. I've watched the first 3 episodes of each now, and the UK version is definitely better to me; I'm not sure how to describe it but it seems to accomplish more in each episode, and has more substance.
