Some of you may know about my sister, Sue, already. She's survived brain cancer (glioblastoma) for 12 years after being given 6-12 months to live. We are very grateful for this time! Last summer, she had a stroke and was paralyzed on her left side. She was then moved to a nursing home in San Antonio close to my mom and another of our sisters. In the last few weeks, Sue has gone completely deaf and has started having auditory hallucinations. Many of her current symptoms are those of someone with Alzheimer's or dementia (Sue is only 43!). My mom took her to a neurologist yesterday and he said there is nothing else they can do for her. The brain surgery, chemo, and radiation have taken their toll on her brain. He believes she will deteriorate quickly, but that he will keep her drugged so that she is comfortable. She is strong in her faith and is tired, so we know she is at peace with this new prognosis.

My request is for prayers of peace and comfort for Sue and strength for my mom and Sue's sons.
