Work and weight loss

I am having a ***** of a time lately keeping work and this weight loss from affecting each other.

I basically work in sales as an advisor. I have been stuck in a 20 pound range now for a freaking year.
I keep a handle on it most of the time, but it is like I am brand new all over again.
I used to walk in to a potential client's office like I owned it.
It is killing my confidence and I feel like I am back at the "fake it til you make it" stage.

Hoss my friend, I have no idea why you are stuck, I see your diary everyday, you workout like crazy. You should be losing weight consistantly. Do you think you might need to talk to your doctor about it? maybe a thyroid issue? I have no clue but I do know you are busting your hump and doing everything the right way. Sorry I have no answers for you , wish i did.

Have you looked at the BMR under the Tool set? From what i can tell you should be eating around 3000 calories a day for your height and weight. I know that seems counter productive but you might not be eating enough. I try to live by the rule of 5 servings of fruits and veg a day (full cup servings) and when i stick to it i find that helps. I've never had a lot of weight to lose (is that a good thing or a bad thing?) but food closer to the ground works better for me than anything processed and it does help me not gain at least. I eat over 2000 a day and am at 185. On that i am slowly losing. Fruits, Veg, whole grains, nuts, beans and water water and some more water. I hope this helps in some way - dont lose faith! Slow and steady....

Hoss my friend, as the leader and founder of our group, it is awesome to not only hear about the successes but also the struggles you are facing. Thanks for this post. Hang in there! Slow and steady wins the prize!!

    A) Here's where I remind you you've lost over 100 pounds.
    B) I get it, my mood is directly tied in with the scale. But even if your staying in the same 20, I'm betting your fat/muscle ratio has changed drastically in the last year.

The scale is just a datapoint. There is too much variation in a single day to count on it .. too much salt, water retention, not enough water, etc. I rely on the tape-measure.
