Egyptian husbands will soon be legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives - for up to six hours after their death.
The controversial new law is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament.
It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women's rights of getting education and employment.

quote from the article "The subject of a husband having sex with his dead wife arose in May 2011 when Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death. He also said that women have the right to have sex with her dead husband".

ewwwwwww again - and how would that work?

Being "open minded" about another culture does not mean automatic approval of every act or practice in that culture. It means not selectively choosing negative things to denigrate and dismiss the entire culture--and at the same time display a studied indifference to the negative acts and practices of one's own culture.

So what. Culturally its accepted so its OK? In pedophile circles they see pedophilia as acceptable does that mean we have to be accepting of pedophiles? Not this guy sorry.

I think there's a difference. Maybe in the pedophile circle they might think it's ok, but the law says its not. However, in other cultures it is ok to marry young children, or force them to marry, whatever. So, in that culture it is not illegal and it really doesn't matter what we think here in that instance.

    This!

besides, there would be no controversy there if everyone accepted it. And furthermore there happens to be question regarding whether or not such a bill exists. Regardless, there a certainly some twisted folks in this world, all cultures, nations, races, ethnicities, religions, etc, but it is not all of any group. Thank goodness.

I just do not understand who would want to do that! Honestly, I could not even touch my parents after they were dead! Who would want to do that! And not just one or two 'interesting' types, enough to pass the law!
