...not eating enough! So I visited with my nutritionist this afternoon & complained about how even with all the exercise & meal modifications, I have only lost 9lbs in 6 weeks. She reviewed my printed MFP journals and determined I'm not eating enough. After some confessions, I had to admit that by not recording how much I'm exercising is actually sabotaging my efforts. Currently, I'm burning about 8,000 calories wkly, but I'm only taking in about 9,000 calories wkly, which is throwing my body in starvation mode. So I have to either consume no less than 2,800 (net 1,650) calories daily or not exercise as much. Wow...what a choice!! :ohwell:

I'm glad you found that out and have someone to help with that. It's priceless.

It may make all the difference in the world. Good luck!

It can be scary. Realizing that you can lose weight while consuming over 2000 calories a day? ... What's even more scary, for me... was to realize that if I'm losing on 2400 calories a day... just what was I eating when I gained this weight? I know it had to be 3000-4000 calories a day of nutritionally empty calorie dense foods.

That is not the worst news, to hear that you need to eat more to lose!

Pandorian - I have had the same realization... Especially when I realize how often I was eating out, and that one meal can be more than an entire days worth of calories!

The idea of going back to eating without thinking about it - makes me nervous! Especially now that I am informed!

I came up with about 5000-6000kcals a day. No wonder I got up to 370lbs
