so who has had good experiences with Match.com? I decided to sign up this week while I was sick in bed for the week with pneumonia. I have had 296 people view my profile as of right now. About a dozen of those made contact and abou 2 of those, I possibly could have a conversation with.
How long were you online before actually meeting someone that sparked your interest?

I've had some luck with Match. I seem to be on there for a couple months and then get tired of it though. I've met a few really cool guys. Most of the time I talk 2-4 weeks via e-mail or phone before meeting.
I usually know by the first couple of e-mails or phone conversations if I want to meet him or not. There are definitely some weirdos too, so be careful!0 -
In three months, I got maybe two messages and one picture "like ". So you're already doing better than me. Needless to say, it is canceled and will officially expire in a couple days. Lol

I use RSVP, I don't know if you've got that where you are but last year I dated about 8 different girls on there. 2 of which I had relationships with, only a couple of months long though :-/ lol0

I'd say my numbers are about the same as yours... 5-10% of guys who look actually contact me and then of that only 1-2 per week someone I would be interested in meeting. I've gone out with some decent guys from Match.
Last time I was on Match I met 4 guys in person (2 are still on friendly terms). Unfortunately, I mostly got guys that wasted my time emailing but would never meet, or I'd build a great "electronic" relationship with only to be turned off on the phone or in person. I really didn't have the time to wade through all the creepers/chaff and still be a good single mom, so I closed my account after about a month.
This time around, because of that experience, I push for meeting asap. I met 2 guys for lunch in my first week, but have had to kinda "string along" the others because every weekend this month I've had pre-existing plans (except for this past Sat, which starbucks guy quickly snapped up) and it's hard to get a mid-week babysitter while school is in session.
I'm supposed to meet someone else for lunch this week, and someone else for coffee (though I may cancel the coffee date).
Hang in there, it can be frustrating at times, but certainly fun!0 -
I joined in May 2011. Between then and the end of January 2012 I think I met 7 men in person. The 8th was the first one that I clicked with, and we dated for 3 months. We just broke up last weekend because we live too far apart and both have very busy careers that take up a lot of time. No bad feelings.
I will probably join again but I'm going to take a break for awhile and focus back on myself and getting to my fitness goals.0 -
I was on match for about 6 months, and met some really great guys, and also some really not-so-great guys. Ironically, the day after I cancelled my profile, I met a guy here in town. Good luck!!0
