So far I have New Rules of Lifting and I'm getting starting strength from the library soon. What are some other great books?

Starting Strength by Rippetoe is pretty much the penultimate starter's guide.

Mike MENTZER get his early books had great results when stuck at plateaus i would bust thru them i only used his method when i would get stuck like 235 was really hard for me to get past for bench press using MM style pushed thru to 290

I'll throw in a third recommendation for Jim Wendler. It isn't revolutionary but it's a solid approach to lifting and fitness in general. It is also very clearly set up and offers a lot of variations all drawn out.

Hany Rambod's FST7 is by far (I dare say and his track record suggests) the best training program ever put out there.

Ben Pakulski's MI40 is also a great program.
