I went to the Macy's sale yesterday for new polo shirts. The smalls are still too long for me, but now that I'm down a few, that's not as acceptable as it once was. Am I gonna have to start shopping in the boy's dept? How are their prices/styles?? ruhroh.. what a great problem to finally have! Then again, there's the question of how a 52 year old man should be dressing!

I think you're supposed to get whatever size fits you properly in the shoulders, then take it in to a tailor if it's too big anywhere else, and I guess that includes too long.

I NEVER considered tailoring polo shirts.. but I might have to....and I did tuck yesterday's in..something I don't usually do with casual clothes.... and got acccused of strutting around like i was showing off. I don't look THAT good, just better... I had to explain that I'm allowed to strut.. after all the world revolves around ME.

Do not tuck in a polo shirt, please. It is almost as bad as tucking in a t-shirt (the ultimate fashion crime)

    Congratulations though! :-)

there's nothing quite like a nice, solid, cannon ball gut in a tucked in polo and under-the-belly jeans hon!

The only poloshirt I own is one I got through work (it was black, a colour I rarely ware as it makes me look like a priest  and at the time way too small for me despite being a US size L. Now it's baggy and I wear it to the gym)

I only wear T-shirts under shirts and used to wear most of my shirts untucked. Since losing he belly, I can now tuck my shirts in, which is great!

I did buy a tanktop with fake short-sleeved shirt & collar and skinny shorts last weekend and they fit and look good. Now just waiting on some sunny weather to wear them.

I might even dare to wear just a T-shirt this summer, but more likely will stick with shirts as I'm still a bit too self-conscious about the moobs :ohwell:

You may want to try Banana Republic or Lacoste, they have nice polos. I just started buying mine at the Nautica Outlet and they were $20 and fit well.
