I did it! I completed my first marathon in 4:54:55. My knees started to give out around mile 15, so it was a little disappointing, but I still finished in under 5 hours (which was my goal).

Normally, I will run an EASY 10 minute the day after a marathon and then do all easy runs up to about 4-6 miles the rest of the week.
Running / working out will actually speed your recovery. Just take it EASY0 -

I can't bend or go up and down stairs, so I think that may be out for today0 -
