I currently just got a new gym membership and started working out regularly.. I start with the elliptical then go to do either upper body and abs or work on back and legs then end it with time on the treadmill.

In mid April I hit a plateau so I'm changing a few things around.

I'll still be doing NROL4W 3 days a week (although I kinda hate some of the moves in the next few stages), but I'm going to swap out my 2 day a week sprint HIIT sessions with 3 days a week of longer more steady pace running. I'll be moving my HIIT to the stair mill

Finally getting back to my "normal" routine: 2 days weights, 2 days cardio, 2 days stretch/pilates and one wildcard/free day.

Since I have a fit test coming up, one of those cardio days is a practice PT test (pushups situps run). Then I run a little extra.

move to va .;-) quantico is close!!! i love cooking and my kids don't appreciate it. :-( i would love to have someone to cook for again!
I try to vary things up every 4 to 6 weeks. My current workout routine:

Monday: Chest, Tri's and Shoulders - heavy and then at least 30 minutes of cardio
Tuesday: Back, Legs and Biceps - heavy
Wed: Long Cardio day, at least 5 miles unless I do hills or sprints
Thurs Chest, Tri's and shoulders high reps at lower weights
Fri Back, Legs and Biceps again higher reps at lower weights and usually a cardio circuit using the row, stair stepper and elliptical machines

Im trying to continue losing inches on the waist without giving up strength gains. Its been working for me but I keep slipping with the food part because I hate cooking for just me so I may end up at the local pub for dinner more nights than I should.

Scapez, here is your motivation...get your *kitten* in the gym and pick up heavy things repeatedly!!

i second his motivation!!! pick up, put down, pick up, put down.................... go! go! go!!!

my schedule isn't all that exciting.

    typically......

    monday- gym, run
    tues- upper body
    wed- lower body and abs
    thurs- gym, run
    fri- upper body
sat- sometimes i run, and abs
    sun- rest day :-)

7 days a week i pick up heavy things, LOL! my kids. my youngest two each weigh in the 30s and they are still carried quite a bit. when i push the stroller, up the hills for our walks i'm pushing over 70lbs! i wear my son on my back when i mow the lawn or we go out to the farm to play. my day to day life is pretty physical.

I have to mix up workouts or I get bored easily. My favorite thing is to trail run (with my dog) on weekends. Otherwise, I hit the arc trainer, elliptical or do some DVD workouts. This week I'm at a different gym so I'm getting in some classes that I don't normally do. Even on days that I don't get an "official" workout in, I do walk the dog, so at least I'm moving...

Still intimidated by weights, but would like to try them, Any suggestions?

I've been avoiding this thread haha...

I've been slacking. I was too busy packing, moving and now unpacking. I have a feeling I'll be out of it for another week or so. My apt looks like a bomb went off in it.. not really but you kwim.

I have just been doing ZWOW's 4-5 times/week with trying to do something active like running, golfing, canoeing, etc. on my days off.. and I take at least a rest day each week doing nothing (normally the day I'm hungover).

I love the ZWOW's. I get to do something different pretty much every day because she comes out with a new one each week. This week will be #17 I think. I've gotten super strong and I can tell a huge difference in my body composition, even with my poor food choices and drinking. :P But hey, at least I'm fit! Lol.

Because my PT test is coming up due, I'm probably going to run 2-3 times a week in addition to doing my ZWOWs 4-5 times/week. I can't wait to do my PT test and max out my pushups.. it's never happened before but it will this time!!

Oh yeah.. www.youtube.com/ZuzkaLight - gotta plug my inspiration! Maybe one of these days I'll quit eating chocolate and drinking so much beer and vodka and I'll look like her.

I can't find a routine since I moved a month ago and I'm such a routine person. I waitress 40-50 hrs a week and it's pretty physical where I'm at so I'm tired a lot. I have been doing my Insanity for the last week and will finish my first week today. I did run last night and for the first time EVER ran 2 miles at one time without a SGT yelling behind me to not walk SGT
    >:explode: ..

I ran 1 mile last month without stopping at drill. Last night after reading some of these posts I did 1 on the treadmill and 2 outside. I feel sooooo good but yeah, I can't seem to find a groove :grumble: .

So I guess I'm shooting for Insanity in the am and switching off between running, interval training and the elliptical for 30 min at night depending on what my schedule allows me to do.

OMG it's 9am....Kohl's has a sale today and I need new shoes

Currently I am doing Chris Freytag's 10 lb. Slimdown Xtreme. I like the way she instructs in her dvd's. I'll go through this routine for 90 days. I hope I get some awesome results! I was a slacker for those winter months so I didn't lose or gain. Now that the sun is out... I am more motivated to workout. :)

I go to my YMCA alot. Their pool is real nice and working graveyard, I am off work in the early morning so it's not that busy.
    Mon: Zumba, lap pool
Tues: Weights, walk/jog the track, lap pool
    Wed: off
    Thurs: weights, walk/jog, pool
    Fri: walk/jog
    Sat: walk/jog
    Sun: weights, walk/jog

I'm pretty much set in stone with my sechdule. Haven't jogged in a while. Foot doctor said not until I get my orthodics. He had to resechdule too. I have to wait 'til next week now. I also hate missing days. If I gain 0.0004 lbs. on the scale or over-eating 1 day, it doesn't bug me at all. However, I'm one of those people that beat myself up and feel like crap if I miss a day of working out
