I am 51, lost 108 lbs over the past year and a half, and have been interval training and spinning. Im in the market for a roadbike. I biked extensively 25 years ago, but none since. I need advice. I want to cycle again!

I would suggest getting a pro bike fit, availabe at most bike shops. That will narrow down some of the frame selections for you. They will ask you what kind of riding you plan on doing and they will probably be able to recommend a few particular brands and styles whose geometry is designed to fit you and the type of riding you plan on doing.

I would also recommend going full carbon. There have been some substantial improvements in the bicycling industry and they are most notable when coupled with a carbon frame. If you haven't been on a bike in a while the carbon frame is something you can't pass up. It has a vibration dampening quality that will let you ride noticeably more comfortable which means longer rides for greater distances.

Good luck...hope to see you on here soon logging in some miles.
