i feel like the workouts aren't as bad and i'm almost getting used to them. The time still feels like forever on some of them (like plyo) but i'm almost to the point where it feels like i did during month 1. how is everyone else doing?

Replies

  • The first week I was scared! I wasn't sure if I was ready for the level 2 workouts but I made my way through. This week they have seemed "easier" but I do find that the ppl on the screen are doing many more reps than I am for several of the exercised so if I find it is getting easy I try to increase my pace.

As a side note - I got a hrm and I am actually burning less than mfp was guestimating (on circuit, plyo and cardio). My husband is burning 100+ more for the same workouts vs. mfp guestimate. Glad to know what I am actually burning now though - maybe it will help with getting the results I desire!

doing pretty good. I am tired today but overall feel good! Defintely doing better than the last time I tried insanity! Today during Max Plyo I thought I had 1 more round of the 2nd circuit but we were done that as exciting! ha ha.

yeah this is why i stopped logging exercise because i thought my burns were higher and i believe i was overeating. i am back to 1700 calories which is supposedly maintenance for lightly active for me. i figure that way the burns might help me lose a little weight but i won't overeat... we'll see if it makes any difference.

that would be great! i have to say i dislike plyo the most so i'm happy to see we only have to do it a few more times this month. i don't mind the max interval circuit too much because the exercises seem a little easier. and i love the cardio conditioning... i like how it's not repetitive. i think that's why i hate plyo so much. i hate the moves and we have to reapeat them!

I am currently set at 1260 so on my hardest day I would be at 1800 cals and on my lightest day (which a assume will be recovery) I am closer to 1400. I actually like knowing when I workout I can benefit from it... but also can obsess over it too much. On the hard days I sometimes don't eat back all my workout cals - just try to listen to my body - which is typically always hungry!

Right now I am working hard on keeping my macros straight - I eat way to many carbs and not enough protein... and no in a "junk" food kind of way - I just prefer bread and fruits and veggies over meat. So really trying to make sure I get the correct balance because I want to see the results of my labor!

i have gotten in a bad cycle of obsessing over exercise calories so that is why i have been keeping it the same and not eating back exercise calories. i say, whatever works for you! :)

Do anyone find themselves watching more during the Max workouts? It is so hard. Max ply is freaking brutal. I can barely complete the reps...

me too. i absolutely despise that one. i've tried to like it, but i just can't... i like when we are in the last 11 minutes because it is less boring and repetitive. i think what i hate about it is i can't do some of the moves and i ahve to repeat it. it almost kills me! only 3 more go rounds of it and the next one isn't until next monday! :) recovery, cardio conditioning/abs, core cardio and balance for me the next few days.. i am loving that schedule.

Cool. I am a week behind, and sadly I have to skip max recovery because I'm heading to NYC this weekend, and I didn't want to get totally off track with the other workouts. Tell me about it. I'm nearly exhausted and then I look up and its 15 mins still on the clock..lol...All the variation of push-ups is too much especially when my upper body is the weakest.
