Hey. I'm a Philadelphia native currently living in Memphis, TN and not all that happy about it. I'm surrounded by a surprising number of Cowboys fans. It's horrible. But, that's for the Eagles Fans United board, I suppose.
There are two times I actually cried over the Phillies - when the won the World Series in 2008 and when Richie Ashburn was put in the Hall of Fame. Oh, better make it three times - when Harry Kalas died.0 -
Not originally from Philly (Okie native). Moved here in 2006 and marched on Broad Street in 2008. Feel bad that I don't have much history, but I always try to go to at least 4-5 games a season (assuming my wallet can handle it). Already been to one so far, when we killed the Cubs (only win in that series). Hopefully going to the Cliff Lee bobblehead night....0

I'm from southeastern PA; but have been living in Reno for the past 13 years. My favorite memory was going to a Phillies game when I was about 8...it was my birthday AND the Phanatic's birthday too...I still have the give-a-away t-shirt from that game0

My favorite Phillies memory... I was a teenager going to a game against the Cubs with my dad and brother. There were 2 rain delays during the game, and we stayed the whole time. Most everyone left already, so we were allowed to fill in the seats below. My brother and I ran over to the outfield and shouted at Sammy Sosa. We did his famous salute where he kisses two fingers and raises them in the air (you know what it is) and he did it back to us! I don't remember if we won or lost that game, but it was such a great day.
Another memory, 2008, sitting in the Hall of Fame club, I see Harry the K out the broadcast booth window. I shout up to him and wave and he gave a huge smile and waved back at me. I have so many memories of playing in my backyard with my brother and sister while my dad sat in a lounge chair with his iced tea and we had the Phillies game on the radio, listening to Harry. My boyfriend told me he died, it was on our anniversary, and I broke into tears.0 -
Hi everyone! I am just outside the city near King of Prussia. I have lived here for about 10 years after graduating from Temple. It's nice to meet everyone!
I have many great memories but the top two have to be Michael Jack Schmidt's 500th home run and the call by the great Harry Kalas. Harry is the reason I went to college and wanted to be a play-by-play announcer.
My second memory is of course the 2008 world series win and the parade. What an amazing Halloween present for 2 million plus who turned out that day. I will never forget that week!0 -
