Hey so sad day in my house hold today. Husband just found out he has orders to VA and no orders out for CT. We just bought a house cause our last detailer said he would be able to get us CT then we got this new guy and he says there is none. Well we have a house here and cant afford to sell it or rent it out cause we have a high mortgage so we have to stay here (me my 2 kids and puppy) while he goes to VA for the 4 years :( He will see if he can get a split order and try to come back in 2 years but we doubt we wil get that lucky. So looks like we are on our own for now and see him on weekends or every other :(

    You should you be able to refinance it right now, I know here in TN (Fort Campbell) we are in a simular situation but we got ours for 3.75% you should be able to refinance and find a renter easy, the mortgage rates are at an all time LOW :o) I have a friend who is a mortgae broker and if you would like her info message me.

    wow 3.75 is nice ours is 4.50 now. my husband is nervous about renting out so right now we are going to have him go and after see how it goes with his sea schedule and stuff first. And see if he can get a split tour to come back here in couple years. It sucks but our SIL just had an issue renting out to someone who damaged and screwed them with money and now they have two payments and are behind. we dont make much so it is scary lol one good thing is mu family is only hour away so i have help but its not the same as my husband :( this weekend a neighbor friend who is a realtor is talking with us to see whats best

    You could really take your time with renting, really make sure the people have excellent references. Being apart is hard, wishing you lots of luck!!
