I don't know what my problem is but I think this is too much math for me. Can someone help me figure out my TDEE? I am 42 years old and 5'11". My job is pretty sedentary but I exercise 6 days a week. I have been on here for 35 days and haven't lost any weight where in the past if I just ate less and didn't think about it I lost fairly easily. Also, after I know my TDEE, can someone tell me how to set my calories on MFP so it's the same all the time and doesn't change when I enter in my exercise? This just throws me off. I want to know how much I am supposed to eat without the numbers changing. Can this be done? I am just trying to make this as simple as possible without thinking too much. Thanks for any help.

There are a couple of ways to do it. You can either work out you tdee based on your exercise or base it on sedentary & eat back calories when you exercise.

I personally have settled on classing myself as inactive & eating just slightly lower than that TDEE then any exercise I do, I eat back at least half my calories depending on how hongaray I am. This way if I want to be a lazy *kitten*, I can & I wont be overeating.

I use this site to figure it out & it also gives you a handy zigzag calculation too.

Thanks. I went on there and made myself sedentary. I hope this helps. I would be thrilled even if i lost a single pound. I might try the cycling thing they suggest

I used this method posted by someone a while ago:
Go to this site to figure out your fat percentage,
    http://www.rayfile.com/zh-cn/files/5fb775ba-c241-11e0-9d65-0015c55db73d/

then use this BMR calculator (read the BMR they give you under the Katch-McArdle formula.)
    http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/
Then it'll give you a chart of your TDEE based on activity level.
