I am debating on purchasing the DVD's. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, it's a set of workout DVD's on The Knot website. I'm willing to spend the money if it is a really good workout series and will help me tone, tone, tone! I have 137 days to go and room to lose a few inches without my dress falling off (it's pretty snug right now!).

    Hi MrsSmith2012 -

I'm getting married in September, and needed a jump start after gaining some weight when I quit smoking. I took the plunge and got the DVD set, it came last week and I just started this monday. I was also very hesitant because I couldn't find a single review that wasn't from one of the "Bridalicious Brides" on their website. So far I like it!

It comes with 8 DVDs (8 different work outs) and links to e-books that give you a workout schedule, diets, recipes, etc. I'm on my own diet that is working for me, so I'm only doing the workouts. You go 3 times a week, M,W,F with rest days between and on the weekend. The workout itself is 1/2 hour, plus warmup and cool-down.

I'm an active person, but not a "workout" person, and I am pleasantly sore right now. Monday's workout killed my legs, and yesterday's killed my abs and shoulders. I would say if you're going to get a workout video, go with this one, it's nice to have it tailored to us brides-to-be - if nothing else it really helps to be reminded why you're intentionally exhausting yourself.

Other nice thing is you don't need any special equipement - dumbbells help, and a mat for when you have to be on the ground, but you're just using your own body for most of it.

Good luck, and if you do get the set, let me know how it works for you, I'd love to compare in a few months!!
