What disappoints me about girl gamers is the fact that they still mostly seem to avoid PvP-centric games, or games where it's more about tactics and strategy. Stuff like EVE Online rather than WoW, or Battlefield rather than COD.0

Gamer Girls that hold their own on xbox live...and give back what they are getting are a pure turn on.0

I wouldn't know about that. I'm a strictly PC gamer.0 -

the problem is that eventually you turn into just another guy in their eyes, ha. At least in the PC gaming world... Sometimes I think my guy friends forget I'm female :sad:0 -

About seven years I took my CPU in to a local PC fix-it store. The guy behind the counter asked me if there was anything I wanted to back up. I said, "Well, I would love my level 82 Diablo II assasin saved."
Two guys prairie dog'd up from behind cubicle walls because they could tell I was a woman from my voice. I looked at them and said, "And I can cook, too!"0 -
This is pretty much me ... but then again most of the people I play with are guys, so I guess that explains it.
Same. There's one other girl in my kin (guild) and she very rarely plays. So 99.65% of the time it's me and a bunch of guys. My old kin had 3 other girls. One was really odd, and the other two were, well, quite slutty. And the guys were always pretty rude to me, which is why I eventually followed a friend to another server. I can deal with a lot, but they pushed it too far.0 -

That made me laugh out loud... thanks. Us men are shameful some times / most times. But then women seem to be amazed i'm a good cook and can wash and iron. So it works both ways.0 -
I dunno, all the gamer guys I've talked to tell me that their impression of gamer girls is obnoxious attention seekers. I can kinda see what they mean, it's become a bit of a label for some girls cause they consider considered "oh so quirky" and special. I can't tell you guys the number of times I've raged at some girl while playing online cause she feels the need to let everyone know how great and unique she is cause she's a girl and plays video games.
They kind of make a bad name for those of us who just like gaming.0 -
Getting ready for my raid and am dressed in my finest Blizzcon t-shirt and a pair of pj bottoms
LOL this! Only I'm wearing my favorite Jinx Tee and pj bottoms0 -
This gave me a good chuckle. I am feeling the itch to get back into PC gaming but I have to lose more weight or go back to school before I turn the net back on at my house. When I do go back I will be starting from scratch and I don't plan on announcing that I am a female. I've dealt with so much girl drama from other "gamer girls" that were really just attention needy and couldn't handle it when I got attention from "their" guys which basically just means if any of the guys in their guild talked to me. I think this is funny because honestly I was just there to raid/PvP or sometimes just quest with no interest in "their" boys. All that girl drama really poisoned the game for me for awhile and played a big part in me eventually quitting over two years ago. I am loving the idea of getting to start over and hopefully I'll be able to avoid the drama this time and just find guildies who want someone who knows what they are doing and just wants to play the game for a few hours.
For now I can be found replaying my way through Darksiders on my PS3 in prep for Darksiders II later this year . It is like a dark Zelda game, what's not to love?0 -
Love this lol!!0

The Guild is on net flix now and I was just watching this episode the other day!!0 -
My first guild on WoW was amazing. I actually miss them alot. We were an entire guild of female gamers, not hardcore, but geeky enough to play all the time. We had a few guys, but they knew their place. We eventually all just grew apart and drama kinda took over at one point. Which is a shame, because we all got along well. Now it's me and a ton of guys. Most don't know I'm a girl because I just don't tell them.0

This is exactly the case. At least with xbox live they'll hear me shrieking insults at them so it offers a timely reminder of my gender!0 -

Uh huh! I get a lot more respect than most of the girls I've played with because I don't take hand-outs and I tell the guys to stop treating me differently just because I'm a girl. That's probably the reason I say they forget sometimes that I'm a girl  But that's what I mean when I say some of them come across as slutty. Oh. Em. Gee. I talked with one of your guy friends. SUE ME! The worst is when they have a bf in the raid and they're dishing out virtual everything to other guys in said raid. I mean, fine, I would do /hug or whatever in front of my bf, but I wouldn't talk about hopping into bed with other guys. Drives me nuts.
There's an online soccer sim that I've played for like 4 years, and I'm one of very, VERY few girls that play. As in, I have to have a couple guys that I'm friends with on FB verify that I'm a girl whenever someone new comes around in the chat during the games. They usually start giving me lots of attention and I have to tell them to back off. Then they're all offended and surprised. :grumble:0 -
Screw that. My wife has to earn her wins in Mario Party. When we used to play Phantasy Star Online, I would give her a few weapons so she could hang, but other than that, she had to level up her own Force Newman. Screw that...0

I'm kinda a combo of the first and last pictures hahaha
RITE!? Because seriously, who gets dressed just to play video games? WHO!
At times I've worn little to no clothing to game because the clothes were farther than the remote and controller before (PS3 gamer). And my SO loved it when I'd play DDO like that, but of course it was easier to actually do quests if he and I were in our respective residences. Silly guy, hirelings suck at covering his cleric a** and if he distracts his protection (me) we'd both die. SMH0 -
That last picture is definitely me :laugh:0

Completely true! And I love it! Who needs (insert basic need) when there is (insert game title here) to play?0 -
Anyone else notice she's playing Zelda with a xbox controller? Unless it's plugged to a PC on emulator that doesn't look right...0

Or....OR.....it's a Wii classic controller. Nothing wrong with a lil emulation.....0 -
Love that! haha
When I play call of duty black ops zombies, a lot of guys think I'm a guy. lol...0 -
Should hear me in vent when I pvp.
"FREAKING S-KEY GAMER BADDIES CAN'T EVEN TARGET HEALERS. OMG. STOP IT."
so on so forth.
Gender isn't defined by gaming habits, and speech patterns. Remember kids0 -
I think it makes it tougher on us actual girls when males play female characters. Then you've got people yelling for you to get onto Vent to prove you're a real girl. Why should I have to prove it? :<0
