Thank you all for taking part in this fun challenge. It was my first attempt at getting something organized.
this is our final week of May and I think I got something done. Although I missed an entire week while I got organized for our horse show, I did realize that it is important for all of us to have goals.

Goals such as riding, and keeping everyone motivated to keep riding is important.

This week I will:
Get D going... that is too vague - ride/work D 4 times.
Ride Solo - 4 times
K - - 4 times
Exercise - circuit training 30 day Shred minimum 3 times per week

Keep the tack room clean
Wipe my tack off after every use

Eat 3 fruits per day
Eat ?? protiens per day
Eat ??? Carbohydrates per day

NO CHOCOLATE
NO ENRICHED WHITE FLOUR - I swear it puts weight on by looking at it!

What are you doing this week?

I know its not horse related but I spent 1.5 hours tryig to sort the polytunnel out yesterday evening instead of my usual telly. We normally eat later after the children have gone to bed and watch something but yesterday I cooked for everyone at 5.30 (I was hungry by then anyway!) and then put kids to bed and then went outside and did loads. Apart from a bad back I felt a lot better for it:-)

Tonight I am hoping to ride after farrier has been and / or have a treadmill workout.

Stick to my cals all week with NO slip ups!

Get back into doing my sit ups EVERY DAY!!!

Actually open the Jillian Michaels DVD box lol

    Walk the pony!!

    Lesson on Friday

Make time to go to my keep fit class on Wed (annoyingly at 6.15pm just when kids need to be fed/put to bed)

Ride DH's horse up the road to see if hes still lame (neither vet or I could decide last week when she came and if you watch them enough you can convince yourself either way in the end!)

I know I've been away for a week, we've just had some new additions to the household so things have been a bit hectic, plus been covering a colleague at work so the last thing I wanted to do was spend a few hours on my laptop each evening!

However I did track last week and lost a pound after 2 weeks of going nowhere so this week I will:

Ride - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Shy's not going to know what's hit her given that Monday and Tuesday are Bank Holidays as well!

Bath Shy - somepoint at the weekend, she is soooo filfthy who'd have thought a black horse could get so mucky

Treadmill - everyday this week, even the days that I ride

Clean new additions (ratties) out Tues, Thurs and do a big clean Sat / Sun depending

Track my calories every day including the weekend

Phew, I think that's enough for now!

    Thanks for keeping us posted!

I never realized how important food tracking was untill I came to MFP it has made a huge difference to me.

salsa81 - well done with the pound lost. way to go! And isn't it interesting instead of watching TV if we get outside and do stuff how much better we feel? I like your horse and eating goals. I think I will add bathing to my to do list as well. It has been so hot here the horses do need a good cleaning!

Ruralgirl- Don't delay open that Gillian M DVD right now... and do it. As she says, "noone said it would be easy". And she is right. but boy do you feel good afterward... decide to go to your fitness class. Your children and family will be proud of you for taking the time for yourself!

How many protiens should I be eating per day? does anyone know?

Fingers crossed for DH horse to be sound.

Week 2 of MFP and loving it. I am going to stick with it. I need to lose as much weight as I can before the 15km trail ride on June 9th; I don't want to break my horse's back!

I am hoping that each of the 4 horses will be worked 3 times this week-with some time in the ring as well as on the trail.

I am going to force myself to take 1 day off from my Jillian Michaels DVDs. I recently added Ripped in 30 to my collection and I am dying to try level 4, but I tend to over-train so I have to set limits for myself.

I have started running again and I'm already up to 30 minutes. My goal is to keep it up without pushing myself too hard. I want to avoid injury this time.

I haven't had any trouble with overeating now that MFP holds me accountable for everything that goes into my mouth and I think the PGX helps a lot. This week I am going to take a look at sodium. I have been over my allotted sodium intake a few times and I don't add salt to anything. It's pretty scary how much sodium is hidden in foods. I don't know how I am going to cut it out but I will try and if I don't succeed, hopefully I will sweat it out!

It should say at the bottom of your daily goals where you log your food.....there's total number of calories / carbs / something else that I can't remember! / proteins.

Well yesterday was a great success NOT!!

Didn't get chance to ride

BUT did clean out the boys last night, which only took 15 mins and wasn't very arduous (?) at all!

I also got my 30 mins on the treadmill in AND I did track all my calories so I was suppose one miss wasn't too bad.

I was going to ride tonight instead but it looks like it's going to rain + I've got to sort all my Avon books out for delivery tomorrow night (completely forgot it was Avon book week this week when setting my goals) so I'm gonna change my riding aims:

Ride - Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues

Think it's more realistic if I've got Avon to do and need to get my 3 rat boys used to me as well!

OOOO apart from operation bath the pony I also want to do a tack clean this weekend, maybe that will require a lot of elbow grease?

    Hi folks

Did you order your bath stuff Salsa?? I ordered my hand weights - yey

Farrier says DH's horse (Billy) lameness due to bruised sole and has put on different shoes so going out with my vet friend on him (me on my mare Chloe) on Sat and hopefully hell be OK!! I was also hoping to do some jumping competitions on him this summer so thats a big relief to know whats wrong (he used to be mine till I snapped my achilles and then got pregnant again so DH took him over!)

So will definitely go to keep fit this eve, did my first Gillian Collins workout last night - OWW!! (hence the hand weight order...)

Tomorrow will try and do a workout cause its a long day at work 7.45 till 6 so wont be home till after 7 (on account of needing a long lunch to get my hair done so I look less like an old witch...lol)

Only trouble is I just ate a magnum - why!!! thats an extra 270 calories Ive now got to try and find from somewhere unless I skip dinner which isnt a good idea...

Any tips for willpower anyone? Going to be a nightmare from Friday onwards with all the village / church jubilee stuff all involving (mostly unhealthy) FOOD!!! (and scary flappy bunting) bah humbug ;-)

Thanks to everyone who took up the may Challenge..
As a result I have been riding more and 'playing' with my horses more.
Manes have started to get 'pulled' and horses being ridden or exercised.

How is your next/this month - june shaping up?
