I was thinking, I would love to connect with other MFP members who go to the same gym I do, and maybe do classes together, work out together, or just keep each other accountable! Where does everyone work out at? I'm a member at Crunch Fitness in Beaverton, is anyone else?

Dude! How did I miss that we live in the same state?!

I'm usually at the YMCA in Tacoma or Lakewood or one of the trails in the area.

We all work out in the rain!

Where has the nice weather gone? My hikes are not as fun.
I do almost all of my cardio outside. I could never justify walking on a treadmill. Everything else, free weights or calisthenics at home.

I'm over on the Eastside at the LA Fitness by Lloyd Center. A lot of gyms do a friends and family free day, though. Maybe there's a way for a rotating group to take advantage of that option

Lake Stevens Athletic Club (in Lake Stevens, WA. That was probably totally unneccessary to add) It's a small independent gym in our town and I love them. They are hands down the best gym I've ever been a part of and it's still pretty new, it's only been open for a year. Locker rooms are amazing (granite countertops at the gym? Win), equipement selection is good and the cost is amazing. My hubby and I just paid up for another year and paid $600 for the two of us. Win.

I also take Zumba classes from a friend of mine that owns 2 studios in the Arlington/Stanwood area which is a pay-as-you-go thing, no memberships required. She's the best, therefore she's worth me paying to see her on top of my gym membership.

At home, outside and the Mill Creek or Mukilteo Ymca. I do ellitpical there, weights, bike. I am not brave enough to do a class yet, I feel like I need to work myself up there more, just as I am trying to with hiking (I can do 4 miles, but working my way up to 6 or 8). And I am also trying to work myself up to 2, then 3 miles of jogging, I can do 1/2 a mile at a time for about 1.5 miles right now.

24 Hour Fitness in Olympia. Have been doing P90X at home so haven't been to the gym much, but that is coming to an end so I should be back to the gym soon.

I work out at the Lynnwood Rec Center (the same building as the Lynnwood Pool). It's a beautiful new facility! The gym membership also includes unlimited pool, spa and sauna access, AND drop-in fitness classes. I love the environment - welcoming, unintimidating... I'm working out next to "real" people, like me! Even though it's a smaller facility I can always find machines available to workout on. If you're in the Lynnwood area, Friend me!! :-)
  • Either of the 24 Hour Fitness (how do you make that plural?) in Beaverton when I'm home.

24hr fitness mostly in issaquah but I can go to any 24 hr feel free to add me
  • I go to Fitness Evolution in Seattle on 132nd & Aurora. It's a beautiful gym and it's brand new. If you act quickly you can sign up for $1 (going up to $99 after their introductory period is over), it's $20/mo with no commitment, with an annual fee of $39, due during your fourth month. They also include unlimited guest access, unlimited tanning, unlimited group class attendance, they have a cardio cinema (set up like a movie theatre with bikes/treadmills/stairs), their equipment has HDTVs with tv/music videos/iPod connectors, and their machines keep track of all of your workouts. You also get 2 free personal trainer sessions with signup. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

I'm currently attending with one friend of mine, and I'm loving having her as a support, but sometimes we can't go on the same schedule. Let me know if you'd like to check the place out, cuz I can get you in as a guest for free!

Please add me if you're nearby :)

Update I cancelled my 24hr fitness account they charged my card 4 times and in the club they said I didn't make a payment and try were so rude! When I cancelled it they still charged my card. Now I go to crunch in Bellevue
  • I just found Crunch but I've never been inside. I was checking out Stone Gardens on Wednesday. Fun fact: they do have some exercise equipment in the back of the venue if you want to work out AND climb in one visit!
