Anybody want to start a book club?

I like to read!
After doing self help books, I started dabbling in dating books. I enjoy them. I might not agree with everything they say but you can take what you want out of each one.
Right now I'm reading Mars and Venus on a Date (thanks to a recommendation) and I love it! If his theory is correct, bf and I are the perfect example.
Anywho, we can read a chapter every so often then discuss it.. I read fast though so I'd like to do more than a chapter a week!

i'm sure there is a lot of generalization in the book, but i liked how it spelled out what was or could be going on.... the stages, etc.

Yay!!! I'm reading through it fast... but I can take a break from it. I'm reading another non dating book that I need to focus on too.
And the whole thing about how I can't be too giving at this point because he will think he did his job already, makes complete sense!!! Even bf said he felt we were unbalanced. I'm taking the advice and pulling back and letting him give while I receive.0 -

Sure.. let's start off with this one and see how it goes... I'm going to reread it!
I'm pretty deep in it (even though I just got it!) because I've been keeping busy. But I'll slow down for a bit. How about we go over chapter 1 on Monday???
Does that work for everybody? Then we can do 2-3 chapters a week or something... Let me know. I'm single, no kiddos, so I have a lot of free time. I know that's not everybody's case here though...0 -

I would be interested. I used to do something similar with my friends back in Phoenix once I moved to North Carolina. I found it helpful to hear someone else's perspective over what I thought too...

i have it on kindle so i can start it tonight. i am heading to FL on saturday, so, i'll be able to read through it fast. i should be able to get online for a bit monday to discuss. just depends on what time. :-)0 -
I detest self help books because they always clump people into these huge globs of generic labels and never include people outside of the box so to speak, but I love to read so anything outside of self help I'm game.0
