Well folks, I'm back.... After failing to comfortably wear my favourite jeans at the weekend, and despite numerous failed attempts at trying to shift a little excess/maintain my weight! I've avoided the scales like the plague in recent weeks, so I don't know what the damage is, but I figure that the best way of telling how I'm doing this time will be in my clothes.

The same thing happens with every new relationship I've been in since I was 16! Men complain that they never see a girl eat on a date, that they spend the evening pushing the food around the plate... NOT THIS GIRL! It turns out that myself and my OH share a common love of food!

Thankfully, we also share the desire to shift the excess weight...

So I'm back, but my motivation levels aren't as high as I would like them to be, that's where you all come in! Whilst the friends I have on here are fantastic motivators, I could be doing with some more....

I have relationship weight gain too & not for the first time! It's definitely a struggle to stay motivated. I'm surrounded by people who can eat and eat and never gain weight!

    Oh Lesley,

This thread made me laugh, because I have that new relationship comfy weight thing going on too.

When my other half and I were single we were massively into sports. I got injured whilst training for am Ironman triathlon (2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike, marathon run) having done half Ironman races before etc. He was doing 12 & 24 hour mountain bike races and ultra distace fell races like the OMM (Original Mountain Marathon)...

And since we got together and worse, since we've moved in together, we've done sweet Jack *kitten*... :noway: :grumble:

So 40 pounds later this is my first week back at the gym and oh dear, it's a rude awakening!!!!

He, meanwhile, is going running with our dog... The dog loves it...

It's an awful thing, in a way.... It's nice to be comfortable with that special person, but it's not so nice being uncomfortable in your clothes!
