It is not in Phoenix but in Gilbert; Agritopia is my FAVORITE neighborhood! It is the cutest community and has a farm and Joe's Farm Grill Restaurant in the neighborhood. Joe's Farm Grill is so good!! All local food and food from the neighborhood farm. As seen on Diners Drive Ins and Dives!!

WELL.. DOWNTOWN PHOENIX HAS BROPHY AND XAVIER :) THEY ARE RELIGOUS THOUGH SO I'M NOT SURE HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT. DOWNTOWN PHOENIX HAS BEEN SPRUCED UP WITH NICE LOFTS BUT IT'S QUITE METRO. THE HISTORIC DISTRICT IS KID FRIENDLY. MY SISTER LIVES THERE AND LOVES IS. 12/16TH AND CAMELBACK AREA

I second this, my daughters at DV and it's great. In addition to the great schools you have easy access to decent hiking, the Y has reasonable gym rates, and we're getting a Sprouts (OMG YAYYYZ). My only complaint so far is the restaurants...you pretty much have Pommegrnate's and Nello's....for good tasting mildly healthy options. I drive to Scottsdale a lot for food, sometimes Chandler.

When we moved to PHX the only two areas we considered were Scottsdale and Ahwatukee. After being there a while I probably would also consider Fountain Hills.

You basically want to drive down 202 get off on Pecos and drive until it ends. The housing starts there and you can work your way inwards by driving up one of the roads like 17th or Desert Foothills Parkway to look around at the nicer housing in the DV school district. The high school is up 32nd off of Pecos.

Scottsdale has to be the best area to live. so much to do and so many good restaurants.

I live in Gilbert now to be close to family and its a nice town but its very cookie cutter.
