big blow out

Hi

been so so good all week .... and then last night ate all round me. Now feel like S***. Has this happened to any one else. what do you do? should I try to cut back a bit on calories everyday for the next week or so or should i try to cut back most of the calories today - like eat only salad or something??

thanks for that. hopefully will be super good this week to make up for last night. By the way how often should I weigh myself - I am keeping away from the scales at the moment as my temptation is to weigh in every day ( I know this is pointless so breaking the habit)

I weigh everyday. I know everyone says not to, but I just don't obsess over the daily weigh. My weekly weigh is a Friday and the daily ones over time give me some idea of 1) how much my weight bounces around and 2) what general direction I'm going. I put the results into an app called Libra someone mentioned here.
Its a bit nerd-y but hey, MFP is bit nerd-y in th first place and it works for me...

So the answer is (or at least my $0.02); weigh weekly unles you can weigh daily and not really care about the daily result.

Regarding blow-outs; agree with delmc. Just get back on the wagon the next day and try to keep the blow-outs within reason and no more than once a week.

I think it might be for Android only. I put in my daily weigh and it graphs the history but you can also put in a goal weight and it stastistically projects when you might hit it.
You can also export/import a .CSV file to/from excel
