Mummy kicks & tightening core while stretching

Maybe I'm doing them wrong, but I don't find mummy kicks challenging at all. Is it meant to be an easier exercise between hard ones to let you recuperate a bit?
Also: I just finished week 1 (I'm on day 7) and I'm starting to improve form, tightening the core when I wasn't able to do it before. But I still can't do it while I stretch, especially in the hamstring stretch and the one where you're lounging, have one arm straight up and your head turned to look at the hand. Is that because my core isn't strong enough yet?

Hi,
I think mummy kicks are just supposed to be a moment to catch your breath while still moving. I stay on the balls of my feet, so I do feel it a bit in my calves.
As for the stretches, I too have to stay mindful of my core. Just suck it in if you feel like it's not tight enough. That hip flexor yoga stretch (the one that you mentioned) is a doosey, but you have to keep your core tight or you will strain your back.
Keep up the good work!0 -
mummy kicks arent as hard as some of the other exercises but they still work me out. especially my arms. I'm a big girl (262) which means my arms are big too lol so it is some work to keep moving them like that while i kick my feet.
I guess just remember that your suppose to push yourself and try and get in as much movements as you can. keep you feet and arms straight and keep your core firm0
