What are 5 Things you Love about yourself?

This is such a great exercise to remind ourselves that there are GOOD things to us... So often, we (as humans) tend to think about the negative things... Or have the "I wish I was...." syndrome!
Go ahead and write down 5 things you love about yourself! Being we need to love ourselves inside and out, name at least 2 physical things and the rest mental/spiritual/personality etc!
1. I love my quick wit and ability to banter with just about anyone I meet!
2. I love my hair!
3. I love my calves!
4. I love my skin, for I have been blessed!
5. I love my ability to see the silver lining in even the sh*ttiest of situations! I do this, to an ANNOYING degree! Just ask my husband! :laugh:

5 things I love about me~
1. I love that I am staying motivated to lose weight to become the healthier and happier me that I am meant to be! I am determined to get to goal weight and STAY there for life! :happy:
2. I love that I am super honest and always speak my mind. (Sometimes my hubby doesn't love this but he is used to it by now...)
3. I love that I am a very patient person (I never get road rage like my husband tends to!) :laugh:
4. I love that a kiss from me will always make my kids' boo boo's feel 100% better! I must have the magic touch.
5. I love my creative side and how when I put forth the effort I can write one heck of a story. (I started writing short stories when I was 8.)
I'm so glad you started this group Kim! I am looking forward to continuing my weight loss journey with you and getting to know everyone in the group.

3. I love that I managed to get two friends onto MFP too so I'm more motivated

I just joined this group after creating this account. My goals are to become more fit and that in turn will result in decreasing weight and better overall health. Having been unhealthy for many years now, I realize that only through constant attention, dedication, and focus will I succeed. Thank you for this group. My daughter is going to be married in the fall and I would like to have dropped a few pounds before then and look more fit.

3. That I have beautiful red hair with natural curls.

Things I love about me...
I love that I’m an earthy mama.
I love my wild and crazy curls! Although in the past I must admit I longed to have sleek controllable straight hair… slowly over the last decade I have come to LOVE my curls. Oh, and I also love the fact that at 41 I still have to search to find a few grey hairs.
I love that I haven’t lost my ability to play!
I love that my kids tell me that I am the best mama in the world and that they could never have a better mama then me! Makes my heart all gushy
I love that I have a slightly quirky decorating style and that my house is full of color!0 -
1. I have crazy determination! Need to tap into that again for this challenge.
2. Very loyal to the ones I love.
3. I have nice skin.
4. I have a young looking face, people always think I'm younger.
5. I am in really good health physically for the most part (low heart rate, blood pressure, vitamin levels are good), basically I'm doing pretty good.0 -
Thanks Kim for this topic! WE as people can sometimes get caught up in the negitive we see in ourself instead of the positive! Why we beat ourselfs so bad I will never know !!!

Great posts! Keep them coming! So this morning I woke up feeling happy happy happy! Fit, fresh and lifted! Loved, relaxed and READY AND WANTING to workout! LOL So, doing the green smoothie thing, looking at the workouts I have planned today and ready for it!
Dozie- You're welcome! It is totally a social construct to be negative. It just happens, to all of us! I love that your number one thing is determination. No matter what your goal, it will take you far!
Newhabit- Love the determination and also the skin/young comment! It will take you far! I am 30, but feel I look younger. When people meet me they think I'm much younger than I am. LOL Which hey, keep it coming!
Sage- Earthy Momma! I like it! When I have children someday, I want to be an "earthy momma!"
Dixie- welcome to the group, and MFP! This is a great place and I am proud of you for stepping up and out and "doing" your action! With action you will hit your goals! Way to go!
Tani- Sense of humor! So important! There are things in life that are out of our control and we need to learn to laugh about them! Great list!
It's important to love thyself E V E R Y D A Y! Therefore, I urge you to try and love yourself every day! If you feel like (or haven't done it) list another (or new) set of 5 thing you love about yourself/life. With all of the great blessings we have in our life, we should be able to do this for days! Months! Years! Let's keep it going for as long as possible!

A new set of five for the day:
1. I love that I woke up and was excited to jump on MFP and into this group!
2. I love that I have friends who want to take me out to a Broadway tonight, dinner, cocktails and dancing!
3. I love that my husband is my best friend and fabulous enough to not care about number 2! You'd be surprised how many couples I know who are very controlling of one another.
4. I love that I woke up and looked in the mirror with sleep in my eyes, hair a mess, and a somewhat greasy face and was able to think, "I LOVE MYSELF!"
5. I love my willingness to workout hard! I have 4 workouts on the docket today and I am going to do them!0 -
Wow, this is tough; in our culture we do not look at ourselves like this (talk up ourselves).
1. I am proud of my Alaska Native heritage and actively participate in cultural activities.
2. I love my daughters and my grandchildren.
3. I strive to make life better for my community.

It never hurts to boost one's self confidence!

Since it's Friday I'm going to re post 5 things I love about myself today!
1. Being honest and open !
2. Not afraid to fail !
3. Wanting to learn!
4. Love that I have upped my meditation game in the last three weeks!
5. My ability to reach people! Just yesterday, I was asked to host an internet tv show! LOL I have only met this lady twice and she said, "you just got it girl, i think you would be perfect..." LOL This reminds me of being in college and being approached for Mtv. LOL
