Why Accountability is so Important?

A year and a half ago I started the Atkins Diet with a few of my co-workers. (Thanks Lyndsey & Dee!) I wanted to drop 40 pounds before my 40th Birthday. Fabulous 40, you get it. Anyway, because I was lazy, and didn't want to assume the responsibility for my health, Lyndsey created a cheat sheet for me that I followed. But the difference for me wasn't the eating part, it was the accountability. Everything, and I mean everything I put into my mouth was scrutinized. Bad eating habits turned into good ones because I had support and accountability. A year and a half later and I have managed to keep the weight off.

So in this group here are the NON-Negotiables.

1) Everyone is expected to log their daily food Intake and complete the diary on MyFitnessPal (Since I know everyone is busy, no one will be kicked out if they do not log in, but will be asked to leave the group after 2 missed weeks)
2) NO Excuses! If you don't want to, can't or unwilling, we accept that, but we do NOT want to know why.
3) Post one accomplishment each week (It doesn't matter how big or small the accomplishment is)
3) Please remain positive. (If you think your idea is better, please do not "shoot down" someone's idea so you can feel good.

This is great!!! I NEED accountability b/c Im the one who will sneak candy under the pillow at night. Now I can learn to go to sleep and maybe wake up early for a workout.

Don't forget to complete your food diary for the day. I will be checking in tomorrow for a full report.

Great! Please go to the accomplishments Discussion and post an accomplishment from yesterday. How do you like the diet? Do you think you can survive the entire 6 weeks?
