Hey Ladies. Hope everyone is well.

So... happy that I lost 44 pounds, but having trouble finding pants and jeans. Used to be a 16, now I'm a 12... or so I think. Thick hips, booty & thighs, so its always been a challenge. Shirts I'm down to a medium most of the time. Smallest size in Lane Bryant (my old favorite) is a 14 and I'm swimming in them. Tried NY&Company for pants but its been a hard way to go. Forgive me, but they seem to only fit the little booty girls with slim/normal thighs and they are all low rise which is a no no for my thick booty.

If anyone has simular issues and can offer any ideas on stores I could try, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks a bunch.

Plus sizes are cut differently. A 16w is approximately the same as an 18 misses. If a 14 from Lane Bryant is too big, try a 14 or 16 from a "regular size" store.

I agree try the 14 in the regular size but go to a store that cater to a wider age group: Kohls, Macy's, even T.J. Max, etc. I am a 12 in suit pants now, but a 14 still in Jeans from stores. Suit pants tend to be cut higher, and I think are forgiving. I can fit into 12 dresses and skirts if they are full cut but not slim. Hope that will be my next NSV.

Try The Limited. They have Lexie fit pants, and they have a size chart where you can measure your waist, hips, and thighs and find which size pants to order. They are only available online, but I haven't had a problem with returning stuff from them.

I never could find pants to fit me because my hip to waist ratio is so high...if they fit my hips, the waist was HUGE. These fit me nice. For jeans, I get the supreme curve jeans at Levi. They have skinny, straight, and boot cut.

I have the same problem. I'm a 14W. A regular 14 looks like sausage casing around my hips and butt area but the "W" is what I need for my curves. For now Lane Bryant has been a good option. Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors make "W" I found a pair of Ralph Lauren 14Ws at TJ Maxx and that's the been the best buy ever. I love them. My last resort is a tailor/seamstress. A friend suggested getting 16s and have them tailored to fit. I've not tried it yet but it is on my to-do list.

Khols is good about some sizes for girls like us. I've also found some pants that fit well at Beal's. I agree about TJ Max (and Ralph Lauren jeans). By the way, congrats on being a size 12!
